The Escapade détente cottage, CITQ no 304569, is in the village of St-Anicet (approx. 1 h from Montreal), one street from the shore of Lake Saint Francis, but not directly on the lake. Ideal for a relaxing stay; alone, as a couple or with a few friends or family members . During the cold season, enjoy the view and proximity to the park, public dock and shops : after an outdoor activity, take a nap on the futon or read a book while enjoying the warmth of the wood burning stove! The space The cottage is 900 square feet, located in a very quiet private street, and offers an open kitchen and living room. Welcoming, clean, and sunny chalet with many windows: -2 bedrooms (1 queen size bed; 1 double bed), plus 1 futon in the living room -bedding and linen included -Fully equipped (dishwasher, Nespresso coffee maker and milk frother, free wi-fi, smart Roku TV, BBQ with utensils, clothes washer and dryer, etc.) -tap water tested safe to drink and conform, water softener -exterior wood fireplace, covered patio with Adirondak chairs to relax outside -secure storage for skis or bikes (upon request) -inside wood oven, during cold season -(during the hot season, air conditioning in living room, fans in the bedrooms, outdoor furniture with cushions and dining table, and what is needed to have fun at the beach). For days of bad weather or movie nights, the smart TV gives you access to free channels through Roku TV, and to your Netflix profile, as well as to Radio-Canada, CBC and Télé-Québec. The sound bar makes it easy to play music from a smart phone. The nearby park Jules-Léger, attracts lake admirers. You can practice bird observation and take nice walks in the Réserve faunique du Lac St-François and, upon demand to the owners, at the Centre d'intendance écologique Latreille (CIEL). *********** Cold season : The Golf de St-Anicet offers trails for cross-country skiing, and is a great place to go for a walk, snowshoeing, or sledding. A couple of skating rinks for hockey are accessibles in the village of Saint-Anicet or Cazaville. *********** Summer : The public beach is at 4 min. by walk, and the park features a terrain and net for beach volleyball. Here's what is available to you to enjoy the lake and beach : 1 open kayak with a kart to bring it to the water (2nd kayak available upon demand), adult lifevests (regular or large), folding chairs for the beach, towels, a mask for kids to see under the water, a volley ball, etc. Three blocks from the cottage, on rue de la Fabrique, there is a boat slipway for launching. Guest access -Access to the cottage : from the back door (pad with code). -The cottage is in the heart of the village of Saint-Anicet, near commodities. -Private parking spots (3) on the side of the cottage (parking not permitted in the street). In the village, you can easily run a few errands, on foot, bike or by car. Other things to note ****Important**** -The cottage is entirely non smoker; 1 small pet is allowed. Our cottage is for guests (of 25 y.o. and up) that are respectful of the neighbours (this is not the place for a "party"). See the "rules" of the cottage. -Stays of more than 30 nights are possible if shorter than 59 nights (please contact us directly). -Note to persons with reduced mobility : exterior doors (front and back) have stairs, and there is a step to access both bath and toilet. -Not far from Montreal (slightly more than an hour) if you want to relax in the country, but not recommended as an accommodation if your goal is to visit Montreal : we would then recommend to find a place on the island, or around (e.g. in Laval, Longueuil).
