Unwind with family and friends in our spacious home with scenic mountain views. You love the outdoors, ski, golf, fish, hike or bike; 15 minutes to Belleayre and Plattekill ski resorts, or cross country, hike in the backyard. The Batavia Kill trout stream runs through the 18 acres of pasture and woods for you to explore. Minutes to golf, hike, boat launch and mountain bike, 30 minutes to rail explorers, and 5 minutes to historic Margaretville for dinner, browsing or to stock your supplies. Additional sleeping spaces available are a room with bunk beds that you walk through to get to Bedroom 3 in the basement. Note that Bedroom 3 has an outside access so you do not have to walk through the bunk bed room. There is also a loft with 3 double beds. To access the loft there is a narrow spiral staircase located right inside the front door, padded for your protection and a walkthrough room downstairs we call the "barn room" (original part of the house from late 1800s) where two single bed cushion sets and a futon mattress are located. There are 3 full bathrooms. One is located by the kitchen, one is located off of the upstairs living room and there is one in the basement. There is a smart TVs in bedroom 2 and a 65" in the basement living room. Beautiful mountain views and watching the stars at night there is an oversized deck with covered hot tub. Enjoy the outdoors during your stay. Plenty of space to explore, sled, hike or enjoy the valley views. The Batavia Kill trout stream runs quickly all year, please be mindful with children around the river and pond. Built pre 1900 this barn like structure was owned by the milking farm across the road as a weigh station for carriages to transport milk to the railroad. To preserve the history and structure you'll find original building construction and a quirky layout. If you like to trout fish, ski, hike, golf, canoe/kayak, mountain bike or just get some peaceful time watching the stars at night with the house lights out; we hope you take advantage of your stay. Plenty of hiking trails located near by, and canoe/kayak access points on the East Branch and Pepacton Reservoir. Parking is available to fit 4-5 cars. Margaretville is 6 minutes drive where you'll find a CVS, Freshtown food store, restaurants and boutique type shops. In the entryway we have a binder with menus to local restaurants however the hours are quirky like our house, best to call ahead. We have 2 locked closets (one in bedroom 2, one in the downstairs tv room). We also ask that you do not go beyond the curtains in the laundry area as this is our private area with our personal belongings. If you need something you feel may be in these areas please contact us first. Rural setting, valley with mountain views Hot tub seats 2-3 people at most or too much water will spill out making it a one time use.
