Located only 10 minutes from downtown Fairplay and 25 minutes from Breckenridge, you’ll find accessibility was not sacrificed for seclusion. The space Clean | Recently Renovated | Dog-Friendly (with fee) | Cell Service | Large Outdoor Deck | Wood-Burning Stove | Free Wifi First Floor: • Living Room: Large open layout with leather couches, smart TV, wood-burning fireplace, and sprawling views of the back deck and surrounding forest • Kitchen: Fully stocked with all cooking essentials, blender, crockpot, coffee machine, Brita pitchers, spices, microwave, and dishwasher • Half Bathroom, pantry, and washing machine/dryer Upstairs: • Bedroom 1: Queen Size Bed • Bedroom 2: Full Size Bed; Bunk Bed with Full (bottom) & Twin (top) • Large bathroom & shower with all the essentials Outside: • Large deck with propane Blackstone grill, overlooking 6 acres of forest views • Private trails to the Sacramento Creek (north end of the property) • Gravel Parking area for up to 4 vehicles Activities: Explore the property’s private trails along the Sacramento Creek or take advantage of the area’s endless year-round activities before returning at night to enjoy unobstructed views of the stars. Winter: • Skiing and Snowboarding: located 30 minutes to Breckenridge and 1 hour to Keystone and Copper Mountains • Snowshoeing • Dogsledding • Snowmobiling • Ice fishing Summer: • Hiking: the Mosquito Range offers countless hikes for all skill levels. Those - looking for a challenge may have specific interest in Mount Lincoln, Democrat, Sherman, or Quandary Peak. • Fishing: Fairplay is known as the official Trout Fishing Capital of Colorado • Mountain biking • ATV / offroading • White water rafting • Horseback riding Downtown Fairplay: • In addition to the endless outdoor recreation, this charming, historic gold town offers vibrant art, shops, restaurants and events year-round • South Park City Museum • Enjoy some of the town’s fun and unique events including Burro Days, Fairplay Gem Show, South Park Arts Festival, and summer music series • Fish or pan for gold at the Fairplay beach Other things to note • The final road to the house is not paved and the driveway has a moderate incline. 4WD vehicles are required during the winter and highly recommended during the rest of the year! • The house sits at an elevation of over 10,000 ft., nearly double the elevation of Denver. High altitude affects everyone differently. We recommend acclimating prior to your visit, if you are not used to high altitudes. Unfortunately, we are unable to offer any refunds due to altitude sickness. • The area is home to lots of wildlife. Including but not limited to: deer, elk, moose, bears, squirrels, birds, insects, spiders, etc. Please do not be alarmed in the event you encounter any of our neighbors. • The house is on a septic system and well water. Please do not send anything other than toilet paper down the drain. • We love our pets and often bring them to the house. Although we professionally clean before each stay, those with sensitivity to animal hair may notice. Please be aware prior to booking. • There is one security camera located outside the house, overlooking the front entrance/driveway area. • The house has wifi and Netflix available for our guests. Due to our secluded location, wifi may not be as fast as you may be used to in other areas :) • Lastly, this is a family home and we take pride in offering you the best experience possible.
