Description

There are few homes just a short 10 minute walk to Coeur d'Alene's many seasonal events. There's great dining, drinks, music, galleries, antiques, shopping and strolling through the iconic Coeur d' Alene resort. Hike Tubbs Hill or enjoy the magical ice skating rink, and a gorgeous 1920s carousel located downtown. Then, enjoy the warmth of this beautifully renovated 1924 Sanders Beach home. A small garage can store your toys like bicycles, kayaks, skis, etc. Covered deck out the back door, and sweet front porch to enjoy your morning coffee or tea, or your afternoon cocktails. Central heat and air conditioning keeps you comfortable. With the increasing heat of summers AC is a must. House is very clean, light, and comfortable. Kitchen is sunny and well stocked. A small breakfast nook can be used for a nice computer space if you have that need. There is a basement with washer and dryer. A smart HD TV for your viewing pleasure. There are a number of free channels available. You can also sign into your own accounts on many available apps. (Do not forget to sign yourself out before leaving!) Fiberoptic WiFi. 5G Guest access Street parking on 2 sides. Room for two vehicles off street by the garage. A smaller vehicle can fit in the garage, or your toys like kayaks, skis, bicycles. Easy walk to beaches, parks, golf, food, pubs, music, thru tidy neighborhoods. Bicycle rental shop less than one block. They have e-bikes too! Fitness center, small chain grocery store and liquor store within a block. You don't have to go downtown to find numerous fun places to eat. Within 1 to 3 blocks there are Pubs, wine houses, BBQ, MoonTime, and breakfast joints. The recently renovated Whiskey bar also has live music. Two public beaches are a lovely 7 block walk down 14th or 12th. At 12th and the water, you are at the eastern base of Tubs Hill. Peaceful trails and beautiful vistas. The beach at 14 is a very large beach and dogs are allowed there. The Centennial Trail runs close by and is a delightful 7 mile ride or walk east to Higgins Point, along the lake. Stop along the route at Juniors Cocina Mexican restaurant for lunch. Or Tony's on the Lake for dinner. You also pass the entrance to the CDA resort golf course with its famous floating green. Go west a few blocks and you are to Tubbs Hill, McEuen park, and downtown. Further west is the Coeur d'Alene resort. Keep going past the beautiful resort grounds and docks and you come to the expansive City park and huge sandy public beach and dock. There is a stunning renovated 1920s carousel in the park. Further west is the campus of North Idaho College. Throughout the downtown area there is a plethora of, and great variety of, really good restaurants and pubs. Much live music both indoors and out. Fun and unique shopping. Antiques, and wonderful galleries are a plenty. Seasonally there is a downtown Farmers Market. Numerous Art Fairs, and outdoor music on a weekly basis. Live at 5 in the park is Wednesdays. The gorgeous historic Carousel in the City Park runs seasonally, on Halloween, and the last Friday afternoon in November for the annual Tree Lighting Ceremony. The lighting ceremony is a well attended event! Winter in downtown CDA is gorgeous. Amazing light displays. Shopping and dining and usually some snow to add to that old fashioned Christmas feeling. CDA sits well poised to much outdoor fun in all directions and all seasons. Central for access to a number of ski areas including Schweitzer Basin, Sandpoint (58 mi). Silver Mountain, Kellogg (36 miles) where the mountain is accessed via gondola from town. Look out Pass at the Montana boarder, 60 mi. Mt Spokane (45 mi). 49 degrees North (78 mi). And many places to cross country ski and snow shoe on the east and north edges of town, and beyond. As well as trails at the downhill ski areas. There are dedicated snowmobile trails in the area and a business that rents snowmobiles in town. Many hiking trails and lots of good mountain biking very close. The Hiawatha Trail is a spectacular bicycle trail. Canfield Mountain north out 15th street takes you to wonderful hiking trails and mountain biking. Search the web. Too much recreational access to list! And then there's Silverwood Theme Park! 19 miles north of CDA and fun for the whole family! Other things to note There are no special accommodations for youngsters like high chairs, cribs, plug in covers, child locks on drawers and cupboards, etc, at this time. There are three steps out back, and 5 that access the front porch. There are stairs to the basement with a standard door.
