Nearby wineries, breweries, and apple picking are a 10-15 min drive 10 mins to New York Renaissance Faire This one bedroom cottage has an open kitchen/dining/living area, a bedroom with a queen bed and door and a bathroom with toilet, sink and tub/shower combo There is WiFi, a Smart TV/Roku and wireless chargers provided It has a cozy private deck with small table and 2 chairs It is located at the back of the Waterstone Inn but does not have a lake view - but guests can enjoy all the amenities of the Inn including the deck on the lake where Adirondack chairs and lounge chairs are provided and where the canoes and kayaks are located The town, restaurants, cafes and food truck park are within walking distance There is one parking spot in front of the cottage but also additional parking across the street at our marina The New Jersey Transit 196/197 has numerous bus stops throughout the town… a 5-10 min walk from the cottage I will be available to help or answer any questions in person during your stay or you may message me at any time, if you prefer that I also love sharing my recommendations for things to do, local events, hiking trails, restaurants, wineries, breweries etc If you need assistance or guidance on the kayaks or canoes during your stay, please let me know. There is usually myself, my co-host Christine, or a family member of the Waterstone Inn, that can help you get you set up and make recommendations for the the best locations on the lake to enjoy kayaking or canoeing We’ve been living here over 50 years and can recommend the perfect experience for you to enjoy all Greenwood Lake has to offer! While the cottage is located behind the Waterstone Inn, it is a residential neighborhood Our marina, which is located across the street, is on the arm of the lake - it is a no wake zone and ideal for kayaking and canoeing The cottage has one parking spot in front of it There is also an additional parking lot across the street, if needed. We are a 5-10 minute walk from the NJ Transit bus stops located in the town The 196/197 line run from Port Authority in NYC and ending in Warwick, NY (there are a few bus stops in Greenwood Lake to choose from and we recommend the bus stop at the commuter lot on Jersey Avenue across from Country Grocers for your stay with us) If you don’t have a car but want to visit Warwick, you can utilize the 196/197 line for transport to the Town of Warwick and back to Greenwood Lake We can also recommend a taxi service that operates from 4pm to 4am in the area. New York Renaissance Faire is a 10 min drive with minimal traffic due to the direction of travel from Greenwood Lake (southbound 17A) as opposed to the heavily trafficked northbound 17 and 17A on the days of the Faire If you are interested in renting a boat, we recommend Murphy’s Marina (walking distance) or Greenwood Lake Marina (10 min drive)
