Tremont hikes and other awesome spots and waterfalls are within a 20 minute drive. *10 miles/20 minute drive to Cades Cove Scenic Loop. *Paved bike trail goes the length of Townsend and is one block from the house. *Driveway has space for 2-3 vehicles. *Peaceful Side Social is a tasty brewery with fun happenings that is right out the front door. The Abbey is another restaurant on the river that is a bike ride or walk away. Plenty of other restaurants nearby. *Walking distance to multiple restaurants, gas station, fly fishing outfitters, post office, and the IGA grocery store. *Quick and easy access to the Wye swimming hole. *Tubing outfitters and local history sites are close by. *Gatlinburg is 21 miles/45 minute drive. *Pigeon Forge and Dollywood are 17 miles/30 minute drive. Other things to note As mentioned above, this is our family home; we are not commercial AirBnB operators. We are regularly tweaking things around the house and making adjustments as suites our needs (and hopefully yours!). We love that this is an old house and plan to "project" on it as we go. *Fireplace with wood stove in the dining room that is available October thru February. Please only use seasoned fire wood intended for burning (not treated wood or sticks gathered from the yard). *We do NOT have a grill. Please check and be mindful of any burn bans during your stay before starting a fire outside.
