Historic Lake Retreat with Dock, Pool and Views
Description
A story-rich 1965 stone lakefront retreat with private dock access, kayaks, a swimming pool, outdoor pavilion, fire pit, and authentic Hill Country character. Ideal for quiet family getaways, couples, and small groups looking to relax and enjoy the lake. This home is best suited for peaceful stays and is not a fit for parties, loud gatherings, or high-volume groups. The space Step into a one-of-a-kind Lake Travis getaway filled with history, character, and easy outdoor living. This single-story stone home was built in 1965 using stone excavated right from the property and a pavilion built on the stone remnants of the original homestead, creating a setting that feels rooted in the land and unlike a typical rental. Set on 1.2 private acres, the home offers 3 bedrooms, 2 baths, lake views from the deck, and a wonderful mix of comfort and story. Outside, you’ll find everything needed for a true lake retreat: a private swimming pool, private dock, 2 kayaks, and room for your own boat. Spend the day on the water, gather under the pavilion for dinner, and end the evening around the firepit, viewing the stars. This is the kind of place that feels relaxed, authentic, and distinctly Hill Country—ideal for families, couples, or friends looking for a special lake stay with real character. House notes: The pool is private and unheated—great for warm-weather swims and refreshing in cooler months. The lake level is up but still below full so the sloped private gravel path to the lake and dock requires some caution. Both bathrooms are en suite to two of the bedrooms, so guests using the third bedroom will access a bath through one of those rooms. It works best for families or close friends. Bonus trivia - local legend has it that LBJ once visited here. Totally unconfirmed but passed down from prior owners. Guest access Parking is available inside the private gated driveway for up to 5 cars. Guests have full access to the pool, deck, and dock. Our neighbor occasionally uses a portion of the dock and keeps a jet ski there, so you may see them from time to time. The dock is spacious, and this should not meaningfully impact your use of the waterfront amenities. Please note that the pool is private to the property but cannot be heated. Other things to note After booking, we’ll send a standard rental agreement for e-signature before arrival details are shared.
