This 3 bedroom, with an additional OPEN sleeping loft, has been lovingly updated for your enjoyment! Minutes from the beach, the point, shopping, dining, and entertainment. A few highlights: fully stocked kitchen, smart TV's, outdoor shower, basic beach necessities and an outdoor grill are provided during your stay for your enjoyment. The space Welcome to "Hooked On The Sea" beach house near the ICW and wooded section of Oak Island, NC. This open-floor plan home on pilings is on the island's west side and features a three-bedroom /two-full-bathroom home. Oak Island beaches are a short two-mile walk or drive away. We offer a 2025 6-seater electric golf cart with a pre-paid parking pass to rent by the day (rental days will be the same as your stay). The golf cart comes with Apple CarPlay, so you can sync your phone to listen to music with the included sound system. You must be over 21 to operate it. The Space: "Hooked On the Sea" beach house offers: Private Balconies and seating area(s) Open floor plan with 3 bedrooms/2 full bathrooms plus an additional OPEN sleeping loft (twin daybed with pull-out twin trundle) We welcome up to 6 guests, and the loft space may be better suited for 1 adult or 1 or 2 kids. Quiet street near ICW and 2 miles from the public beaches The golf cart is street-legal and permitted on streets with a speed limit of 35 MPH or less. (Please see Oak Island’s golf cart map for navigation.) Large driveway that can easily park 3 cars. The driveway is large enough to hold your boat. There is a water hose long enough to rinse your boat off after your day on the water. A soft-bristle boat brush is also available to clean your boat. The home is on pilings; stairs are required to access the home. Large covered and screened-in front porch with seating and a gas fire pit. Bed and bath linens provided, no additional charge. Large open kitchen, fully stocked with spices/ pots/pans/utensils/serving dishes/blender/brewed coffee machine 4 TVs, one in the living room and 1 in each of the bedrooms (minus the sleeping loft). Outdoor seating. Outside shower with hot/cold water. Beach items are provided (beach chairs, beach toys). High-speed Wi-Fi throughout the home Home is smoke-free. Smoking is not permitted inside, on porches, or under the home Our new 2025 6-seater Golf cart is available to rent by the day. We require a pre-paid deposit along with each operator to sign a contract and provide a driver's license and insurance to use it. FREE Parking at the beach with our golf cart. Must be over 21 to operate the golf cart. Other notes: Oak Island beaches do not have lifeguards The home has outside security cameras to monitor the outside. These are not monitored when the home is rented. Guest access: Home access is by keypad, the entry code will be given on your arrival day. Other things to note: Not included - beach wagon or umbrella Beaches do not have lifeguards. Hurricane season is June 1 to November 1. This area does get hurricanes and the town may require mandatory evacuation. Bridges to Oak Island will close with winds sustained at 45 MPH or greater. IMPORTANT NOTE: Our home has professional pest control, but we can not 100% get rid of Palmetto bugs. As with many coastal beach areas, Oak Island has "no-see'ums", black flies, mosquitoes, snakes (yes, some are poisonous), Alligators, Deer, Stingrays, jellyfish, and even sharks. Guest access Guests will have access to the whole home with the exception of the locked owner's closet. Other things to note Located less than 5 miles from the public boat ramp for your InShore and NearShore fishing. The ease of access to the ocean, Davis Canal, or the Intracoastal Waterway at Veterans Park just 7 minutes away, makes for the easiest and breeziest of coastal vacations. Publix - 9 min drive (4.1 miles) Food Lion - 10 min drive (5 miles) Drive to the beach, 9th Street - 10 min drive (4.8 mile) Southport - 19 min drive (13 miles) Wilmington - 39 min drive Shallotte - 31 min drive Trash is picked up on Monday morning. Please roll the cans to the street at the end of the driveway if you are leaving Sunday - Monday and roll them back in if you see that they have been picked up. There is currently 4 smart TV’s in the home (living room and each bedroom, excluding the sleeping loft). They are connected to WiFi and you can login to your streaming services to watch your shows. Cable access is not included. Netflix is provided.
