Enjoy your stay on the scenic North Coast at this one-of-a-kind property! Located right in the heart of Old Town Eureka, this historic stay has been updated with all the modern amenities yet holds true to its original 1882 charm. Positioned on the 4th floor, this two-bedroom penthouse apartment has both stair and elevator access. The Penthouse is centrally located with easy access to US-101 and just steps from some of the best local restaurants, bars and shops in Humboldt County. The space The newly renovated penthouse is full of charm and function. Upon entering you will be greeted by soaring ceilings, exposed beams and picturesque views of Humboldt Bay. The space is large, open and immaculately designed. Complete with original features such as exposed brick, beams and hardwood flooring. The space also boasts brand new appliances, quartz countertops and all new furnishings. This stay is in a mixed use, historically registered building that is broken up into four floors. Floors 1-3 have shops and offices, the penthouse is located on the fourth floor. L I V I N G The main living area has two large windows overlooking Humboldt Bay, beautiful oak hardwoods and is furnished with a large sectional sofa, TV and fireplace, making it the perfect space to unwind in after a day of exploring our beautiful redwoods and coastline. K I T C H E N The space includes everything you would expect in a simple, fully stocked kitchen. Visit farmers market for seasonal produce and local goods, then stop by the wharf to pick up some fresh from the boat seafood to cook up a delicious meal bursting with local flavor. B E D Both bedrooms feature queen sized memory foam mattresses, cozy bedding and plush pillows. The master bedroom also features a large walk-in closet. B A T H The bathroom includes a tub/shower combo, fluffy towels, two vanities and doors separating the toilet room for added privacy. FAQ: 2 half steps required, 3 exterior security cameras (facing out), no A/C Guest access Guests are welcome to park in the lot behind the building, located at 1st and F streets. The penthouse has one reserved parking space, #25. There is also on street parking available along First Street, or off-street in a parking lot on the waterfront. The building has its main entrance facing the Gazebo on F Street. It is protected with security cameras and key-pad lock. Guests will be provided with the keypad code to both the entrance door & apartment door upon booking. We invite you to take the stairs or ride up to the 4th floor in the elevator. **Please keep in mind: this is a very old beautiful building and the elevator, door ways, etc. may present difficulties for persons with compromised mobility. Also please note that there are 2 large steps from the street to the main entry entry doors to get into the building.** Other things to note The Old Town district boasts over 150 buildings from the Victorian era, it is one of the last and most well-preserved examples of Victorian architecture in California. Stroll the streets by foot or hop aboard an old timey carriage to see the sites from a different perspective. Sip on local craft beers and regional wines. Visit the many local shops and yummy restaurants. Walk along the waterfront to take in the coastal views and fresh air. Beyond all that Old Town has to offer, you are located within driving distance of many fun day trips-- Head North to the fishing village of Trinidad or take in the otherworldly beauty of Fern Canyon. To the South, visit the charming and historic village of Ferndale, take a drive to Petrolia along the scenic Lost Coast, or view the wonder of the soaring Redwoods through the Avenue of the Giants. From the world-renowned Kinetic Sculpture Race, to the one and only Oyster Festival, the miles of natural beauty, rich history and all that’s in-between; Humboldt is truly a hidden gem, and we look so forward to welcoming you!
