Relax at the pool under the redwoods, or in the amazingly comfortable, queen sized bed in this vintage, all clear-heart redwood room with a private entrance. Walking distance to lovely dining and shops in downtown Boulder Creek. You can take a quick drive to find hiking in the redwoods or to the Santa Cruz Beach and Boardwalk. Our property wide, maximum capacity is currently 8, and all guests/campers have access to the swimming pool, pool bathroom and shower during their stay. We also reserve the right for our family members to have access to our swimming pool at any time. This room has a private bathroom with shower, and private, propane fire pit in the secluded patio just outside! No other guests visiting Rudy Ranch have access or easy visibility to your private courtyard; so it is clothing optional. The swimming pool is not clothing optional. (We're surprised at how often we get this question. ;) CHECK IN IS 3:00 PM - DESPITE AIRBNB ALLOWING AN EARLIER TIME. If you're looking for an ADULTS ONLY, beautiful and quiet place to enjoy a Tempur-Pedic, queen sized bed, rest, kick back and hear the birds and wind in the trees, you've found it! While we do enjoy the energy of young children, we live in a very quiet neighborhood and have made the decision to exclusively host adult guests looking for a restful retreat. We call this cozy space Sam n Alex, named for our daughters who once shared it as their bedroom. Sam n Alex features very a high ceiling with a huge skylight. (We supply individually wrapped, disposable sleep masks) The walls are rich, clear heart redwood, and has a private bathroom with a glass shower. We supply beach towels for your use and ask that you shower before using swimming pool. The room is in our home, and we do live here, so you may hear us preparing a meal in our kitchen and quietly walking up the stairs to our bedroom. We run sound machines on our side of the wall and offer one in the room for your use, if needed. We are very conscientious of keeping things as quiet and restful as possible, and will notify you if we plan to have personal guests during your stay. COVID-19 We sanitize our spaces with an Apollo UVC lamp between guests. Take a peek at the list of our favorite dining options in our guidebook. There is not a place to cook in the room, but we offer a microwave with wax paper to cover your leftovers from one of our local restaurants when you warm them up. En suite, we offer Keurig coffee and tea, a small fridge/freezer, serving ware, cups, wine bottle opener, wine stopper. Join us and enjoy all the Santa Cruz mountains have to offer! Guest access Private parking is available right outside your door. There are stairs to navigate to get to the room. During your stay We are wicked quick at responding to messages before, during and after your stay. We may or may not meet you in person, as we are extremely busy entrepreneurs with a lot of irons in the fire. We like to give our guests the most privacy we can. Other things to note Our cleaning fee goes to a local professional as part of our commitment to our local commerce and economy. We appreciate our guests dining and shopping at some of our favorite places during their stay, as well.
