The house sits on 5 acres with a very large back and front yard, plenty of room for the kids to run around. Chill on the back deck while grilling on the propane grill (propane is provided). 2 very large spacious bedrooms (including 1 with a crib) and 3 slightly smaller bedrooms, 2 living rooms including one TV room with a fireplace, 2 bathrooms and a kitchen with modern appliances, for optimal comfort. Washer and dryer is available for the guests to use as well. Wildlife routinely walks through the property for you to capture some great pictures. Visit one of the many ski resorts (Windham/ Hunter/ Belleayre, Plattekill) are just a 30-minute drive away. If you haven’t visited BearPen Sports Facility in Prattsville be sure to check it out. Weather permitting they offer ice skating, curling, fat biking, cross country skiing, and snow tubing. It’s only an 18 minute drive. There are numerous hiking trails in the area and excellent fishing at the Schoharie Reservoir and Schoharie Creek. Other things to note Up to 2 dogs are allowed. A pet fee of $50/pet/stay is charged plus a pet cleaning fee of $75 per stay. They are not allowed on the furniture or beds and must be cleaned up after outside. Please leash walk them on the property and crate them if leaving them in the home alone. No pet is to be left in the home alone unless crated. No cell signal in the immediate surrounding area, however, there is an excellent WiFi coverage area in and around the house. Please ensure to activate WiFi calling prior to arrival to the property. Being in the woods means you may encounter wildlife and insects—it’s all part of the natural beauty here. Occasionally, small critters like mice may try to find their way inside, but we take proactive measures to keep them out. Some guests prefer traps, while others don’t; if traps are set, they’re discreetly placed. As for bugs, they are a part of outdoor life—bug spray is recommended from spring through fall, and ticks are present year-round, so always check after spending time outside. If you’re bringing a pet, please ensure they are on a preventative treatment. Weather here can be unpredictable, with snow, ice, rain, and mud. We do our best to keep paths clear, but nature sometimes has its own plans. Rock salt helps in winter, but in extreme cold, ice can refreeze. The driveway is plowed after 3-5 inches of snow, but timing depends on road conditions and the plow schedule. AWD vehicles are strongly recommended for our region. No groups under the age of 25. Absolutely no parties. No Confetti!
