You are just 2 miles from Old Town Yucca Valley (Hwy 62) for unique vintage, antique, specialty shops and more. 9 miles to Joshua Tree and only 3 miles to Hawk's Landing golf course. Not in a neighborhood, your own private space, not fenced in. We provide plenty of cookware for your cooking needs. Coffee & tea station, Keurig coffee maker, k-cup coffees, decaf/regular, tea, hot cocoa, apple cider, sugar, sugar substitute, and creamer. Drip coffee maker and filters provided, so bring your favorite grounds. For your shopping needs, Stater Bros., Vons, and Sue's Health Food are an approximate 10 minute drive. The Water Canyon House has two separate living room spaces for extra space, comfort & privacy. The main living room offers views of Water Canyon from every window. Enjoy your favorite music on the Bluetooth portable stereo or Karaoke to your favorite tunes. Watch all your favorites Disney +, Netflix & YouTube premium/YouTube TV. on a 43" smart HDTV. The second living room is all about the VIEWS, nature & the wildlife. Enjoy the view of Water Canyon through our two fully windowed barn doors. Open the barn doors and breathe in the fresh desert air. Step outside and relax around the patio table, or gas fire pit, while taking in the beauty of the Sawtooth Mountains. This room includes a 32 “ smart tv, full size leather sofa, 2 plush papasans and a relaxing, twin size daybed. Two private bedrooms, one king & one queen bed await you with views of our private hillside, closet space, dressers, extra pillows & blankets for ultimate comfort. A full-sized bathroom, complete with tub & shower. After a long day of sightseeing, hiking or enjoying live music, recline outside under the dark night sky of a new moon for some stargazing time or enjoy the Illuminated sky of a full moon. Unplug and play games;Scrabble, cards, yard darts, yard dice, , coloring book ( desert themed), Uno, outdoor magnetic darts, and more. Guest access -Guests have access to the home & it's 6 acres ,( not included in the stay is the original homestead historic cabin and its smaller building on the hill. Please note this 6 acres include flat land, hillside, and valley. -Enjoy the private dirt road ( it belongs to this property) to stroll as the sun comes up with your favorite morning beverage or just unwind and take in the starry night sky ( bring a flashlight, provided in house). -This property provides parking for 4 vehicles. -no public bus line runs past this property. Other things to note -If you are looking for an early check in, please let us know. We always try and accommodate an early check in. -This property has 2 historic buildings that are not included in this rental, no admittance, so please admire from a distance. -The desert can be cruel to bare feet, wear shoes!! Thorns, stones and little creepy crawlies are easy to step on, please be aware if wearing sandals. -We highly recommend wearing easy slip-on shoes indoors. Rocks, pebbles and thorns can make their way inside. They hurt!! -Use a flashlight when night walking/ hiking. We have provided some for you to use. Animals make burrows/ holes & can be difficult to see at night. Terrain height can change. Snakes, scorpions & other creepy crawlies roam at night. Ruts in the road and property may have been created after a recent rain. -Neighbors may appear far away, but noise carries very easily in the canyon. Please be considerate to our distant neighbors. San Bernardino County provides a number for neighbors to call in the event of noise complaint. -Absolutely NO wood fires, firearms, fireworks allowed on property. No smoking. Fires can start easily here. -Indoors, NO smoking of any kind ( cigarettes, cigars, vaping , 420 ( weed) ) Thank you -Please, check weather before arriving. Please understand we have no control over the acts of nature. -Please let us know if you are arriving in an oversized vehicle, ex: Motorhome, moving truck.
