Other things to note Quirks and things to mention: •The 60 year old hard wood floors are sometimes a little cold in the winter months. ( Bring your favorite slippers ) We ask for you to not walk on the hardwood floors with wet shoes on or place wet towels, drinks or anything that will discolor them. •Keep in mind we are in a rural area so insects can and will get in at times. We do not have control over the weather. •We use a water softener due to having hard water. The water has been tested and is fine to drink and cook with…does not taste the best and sometimes has a sulfur smell.. We do provide a container of water in the refrigerator. •Rt 6 traffic noise may be noticed.. but usually not. Very peaceful on the back patio. In the summer months we fit one window A/C unit in the living room due to crank out windows…that’s all we can do. Ceiling fans in all bedrooms. Usually the home stays cool if the windows and doors stay shut. Original 60 year old gas stove works great... likes to be pampered with a slow turn of the knobs...just like grandpa used to do. The vintage top load washer will get your clothes as clean as grandma used to, but may steal a sock or two-just like the good’ole days” washer works great even though she looks rough. ( coin laundry available 2 minutes away if you’d rather)
