Just one hour from downtown New York, but with a cold beer in hand, warm sunshine on your face, and grass beneath your feet, you'll feel a world away from the hustle of city life. We’re set back from the road, and the garden has plenty of space for sports or play, as well as quiet spots for settling down with a novel. There’s room for multiple cars to park. The house is professionally cleaned and managed, which makes for a totally hassle-free stay. Even better, there’s a lockbox with keys so you can check in at a time that works for you, rather than stressing in traffic because you’re late to meet an agent! Inside, you’ll find an open-plan kitchen and dining room. The kitchen is fully equipped with utensils, spices, and coffee. Downstairs, there’s the sitting area with a log fire (wood not provided). Head upstairs and you’ll find two twin rooms, two double rooms, and two bathrooms. Toiletries, towels, and hotel-quality bedding are provided. The garden has a grill and BBQ ready for use (available only during summer). Tucked away on a mountain road, we’re located in a peaceful, friendly, quiet neighbourhood. To collect supplies, you’ll need to hop in the car. But it’s only a 10 minute drive into Monroe town, where there’s plenty of grocery stores as well as restaurants, bars and shopping. It’s an even shorter drive than that to attractions such as the Pure Terror Scream Park (not for the faint hearted) or, for those less scream-inclined, the Schunnemunk Mountain State Park, Moodna Viaduct and Washingtonville – featuring America’s oldest winery. New York Stewart International Airport is a 15 minute drive, and Orange County Airport is 25 minutes. You can be at the house in an hour from downtown Manhattan – we’re that close!
