The Kitchen: Renovated in 2018 and featured on Dwell and Dezeen, our kitchen is a chef's delight. With sleek Bosch appliances and heated cement floors (yes!), it's the perfect place to whip up big delicious meals with your favorite people. Stocked with spices, baking goodies, and all the coffee-making gear you could want, you're set for culinary greatness. Eat & Chill: Gather around the spacious dining table, which seats up to 10, or pull up a stool at the island for a more casual meal. The living room, with its 25-foot ceilings and floor-to-ceiling windows, is the heart of the home. Relax on the crescent-shaped sectional, enjoy the views, or dive into a game or puzzle from our modern credenza. When the sun sets, roll down the shades and get cozy with a movie. Rooms & Sleeping Arrangements: You'll find three inviting bedrooms on the ground floor. The first and second bedrooms are equipped with queen-sized beds, while the third offers a twin-over-full bunk bed with an additional pull out trundle. From any room, you’ll wake up to killer views of the Catskills and our five private acres. Bonus: the first bedroom has a private door straight to the patio. The main bath, with a shower/tub combo, is conveniently located across from the first bedroom. Up in the loft, you'll find two full beds, desks for those who need to catch up on work, and a full bathroom with a small shower. There’s also a half bath off the living room, complete with a Whirlpool washer and dryer. The Property: Step outside to our 2,000 sq ft patio and get ready to live your best outdoor life. During the day, you can explore our five-acre totally private playground, play lawn games in the meadow, and saunter around the garden with fruit trees, sugar maples, herbs, and pollinator flowers. In the evening, fire up the barbecue or enjoy a meal al fresco at the outdoor dining table. Roast marshmallows around the fire pit and look up to catch some of the best stargazing of your life. The private gravel driveway comfortably fits four cars, with more free parking along the road. Catskills Magic: The Shell House is a true creative refuge surrounded by nature's wonders. Guest access The home is self-check-in, we will not be on the property. We will provide the key code to an electronic keypad for the front door entrance a few days before your stay. Guests have access to the entire home including backyard patio which includes a fire pit, barbecue, lounge chairs, and outdoor dining area.
