We have lived here–to us it is charming & comfortable. It was very disappointing to read such reviews about a house we love and have invested time and effort in an attempt to please our guests. However, recognizing that we cannot please everyone–please, if you are accustomed to staying in trendy/modern accommodations, this house is probably NOT suited for your lodging needs. But if you are more of a steak and potatoes guest vs a caviar guest, you would probably appreciate and enjoy this home. There are tile counter tops, oak cabinetry, and quality blue carpets, to name a few items that are considered unappealing to some. The photos, in this listing, represent how the house looks. This is a split entry home, approximately 3,000 SF, with two bedrooms and a bathroom upstairs, one bedroom and bathroom downstairs. There are also two pullout sofas and an air mattress available. We have stocked the house with extra linens including blankets, sheets, and towels. There is a family/sitting room downstairs with a nice desk and gas fireplace; the upstairs’ family/sitting room has a 65-inch flat screen television, with internet accessible streaming channels, DVDs and DVD player. There is also a grand room with a pool table, board games, and books for your relaxation and enjoyment. The kitchen is stocked with cookware, dishes, Keurig coffee maker, coffee, water, and snacks. There are menus from various local restaurants and may even be a few coupons to local eating establishments that guests are free to use, if they desire. With the exception of the garage and locked supply cabinets in the mudroom, this house is available for your enjoyment. (The garage currently has supplies and furniture stored in it.) It’s not that guests aren’t allowed in the garage, it just is not completely guest-ready. Guests may even park a vehicle in the west parking bay of the garage if desired. The Blue Terrace House is located on the west side of Idaho Falls, near Skyline High School. There have been times that we’ve heard the band practice from the deck. Please research the area before booking to ensure that this location is not sub-par to your expectations. The name of the street is actually in the title. This home is “human-responsible, pet-friendly”—NO additional pet fees will be charged unless damages occur or extra cleanup is required. As a pet guardian ourselves, we consider our pets “family members”. We are willing to rent to like-minded guests. To date, no damages have incurred from Airbnb guest’s pets, however, extra cleanup has been required on several occasions from excessive pet shedding. Please be responsible and clean up after your furry friend(s), including vacuuming often and/or using a lint roller if needed to avoid extra charges. Please provide type of pet(s) and how many pets (limit of three pets, unless extenuating circumstances) at time of booking. Housetrained, friendly dogs and cats are allowed. Please, no breeding kennels, dangerous breeds, rodents of unusual size, un-caged birds, or scary reptiles. Smoking and vaping is allowed outside or in the garage only. Please use the provided ashtrays. Guests are welcome to use the BBQ grill, but must provide their own charcoal and groceries. Accommodation longer than Airbnb shows may also be available. Often we block dates to allow cleaning between guests and do not unblock dates until the house is completely guest-ready.
