'Waterfront' on 1796 Historic Farm

Feel refreshed when you stay in this rustic gem! The Springhouse is nestled in the rolling hills of Northern Virginia’s Wine Country! Originally constructed in the early 1800's, the structure was built over a natural spring that was used for refrigeration. Water from the spring maintains a constant cool temperature throughout the year while also filling a pond. The original stone well, channel and stone flooring are all intact for guests to explore and experience how our ancestors lived. The space This newly renovated building has been designed with a living unit. Enter into a 2 story atrium and up the stairs into a cozy living space. Upon entering is a kitchenette equipped with a microwave and compact refrigerator. Across the hall is a full bath with walk-in shower. The main living space has a queen bed, dresser with television above. A pair of club chairs invite guests to relax and enjoy the view overlooking the pond. Guest access Parking is off the street. The check in instructions will have photos to direct guests on the path to follow toward the pond. Guests have access to the whole property. Our stone patio is available for guests to have their morning coffee or enjoy a bottle of wine from one of our local wineries while watching the sunset. A fire pit is also available upon request. Other things to note The kitchenette is not equipped for cooking. We encourage our guests to try our variety of local restaurants. See my Guidebook for recommendations.
