Enjoy a comfortable experience at this centrally-located place. The apartment is minutes from downtown, easy freeway access, 5 minute drive to historic Balboa Park and short Uber ride from some of San Diego's trendiest breweries, restaurants, and bars. Great for couples, solo adventurers, friends traveling together and business travelers looking to be close to convention center. The space This is a small one bedroom apartment with a spacious outdoor patio and BBQ grill. The kitchen is fully stocked with pots and pans, coffee maker, tea kettle, microwave, toaster oven, blender, dishes and silverware , cooking utensils, a wide variety of spices, coffee and tea. There is a TV with a Roku device and access to a Hulu account. The space is modest in size but very charming. There is a small couch to lounge on and bar seating for eating. The bedroom has a window next to the bed that allows for a nice breeze and fresh air throughout the room. The patio is spacious with a BBQ grill and outdoor dining set to lounge on or enjoy a glass of wine or a meal. The neighborhood is very hip with lots of restaurants, bars and businesses within walking distance. Behind the house is one of the more popular craft coffee and ice cream shops in town ( Dark Horse Coffee Roasters and Mutual Friend Ice Cream). Across from there is a chic bar/restaurant (Counterpoint) with a large selection of wine and craft cocktails and beer along with American bistro style cuisine and weekend brunch. Within that same area is a hair salon, a spa, and a yoga studio. A couple block down you have the best Mexican Bakery in town (be prepare for a line), a small neighborhood grocery store (Krisp), a local breakfast diner (Golden Hill Diner), a fun dive bar/restaurant where you cook your own meat on a communal grill, a couple great Mexican restaurants (Humberto's and Los Reyes), a fruteria with great smoothies and fresh pressed juice (Anakin's), another coffee shop with a wide selection of beverages and food (Krakatoa), and, one of my favorite pizza shops in town with gourmet specialty pizzas served by the slice (Pizzeria Luigi - be prepared for a line here as well). Just a few blocks North is Golden Hill Park - a great spot for a morning run, enjoying a picnic (or the pizza you picked up at Luigi's) or observing an evening sunset over the downtown skyline.
