The space Cozy, quaint 2 bedroom apartment on second floor (approx 20 stairs) of owner occupied home. Huge fenced back yard with plenty of dog toys, fire pit for s’mores and seasonal garden! Wonderful and safe Chicago neighborhood to walk in, coffee shop within walking distance. Beautiful mother hens grace the backyard and love laying fresh eggs for guests! Lemon the lamb can sometimes be found bouncing around the yard and meeting guests in hopes of scoring some free treats - he also vacations on a friend’s farm in MI so might not be actively in the backyard during your visit! Please make note of this if bringing a dog(s). Chickens free range backyard with my dogs and rabbits but can be put away for playtime! 🥚🐥🐾 No washer and dryer in unit - available for long term guests only if needed. Guest access Easy and free street parking, no off street parking available. 20ish minute walk to Harlem Blue line CTA, less than 10 minute drive to Ohare airport. Quick access to highway and approximately 15 min drive to downtown Chicago :) Other things to note The house is my baby and my project and there is always something being worked on as far as improvements - something might look under construction or in the process as we are currently starting and finishing new projects! There is no washer and dryer in the unit however can be made available to long term guests (in basement) upon request. Backyard is open to guests and pups however dogs may not be left unattended and we request that dogs be walked before using the backyard for play. Poop bags will be available for use if needed. If your dog is not human or dog friendly, your dog will not be allowed to use the backyard without special arrangements. All three sides of fence line are shared with young children who are very use to playing with resident dogs - resident dogs are dog friendly but if your dog(s) is not dog friendly, please speak to us about back yard usage - thank you❤️We have had some issues with this and cannot risk situations with dogs that are not human or dog friendly. Guests have exclusive access to front door as downstairs tenant only uses the back door so daily interaction with tenant and resident dogs will not happen. Dogs are still welcome to stay but if unfriendly, will not be allowed in yard during visit without arrangements made 🐾 *please note* chickens, feral cats from the city, a very friendly kitten and rabbits live on property as well as the dogs so just be aware if traveling with high prey drive dogs. they free range the back yard but can be put up if you are uncomfortable with them (they are super friendly!) or if you want to use the yard with your dog(s). 🐥🐥🐰🐰🐈⬛🐈🐑🐾 *cats are not allowed in this unit due to severe (very severe) allergies of our cleaning crew and to allow other guests to visit in comfort. we do have another unit on Airbnb that is cat friendly. *also* i actively rescue dogs (and other animals) so at any given time a new animal might be dropped off during your stay. for this reason, we ask all guests use the front door and only use back door for emergencies. i often have dogs arrive in *VERY* rough shape with unknown pasts so like to keep everyone safe with limited interactions between potentially new and healing animals ❤️ we ask that any visiting dog(s) do not interact or meet resident and/or foster dogs - thanks!
