This spacious chalet is a real log cabin spread over 4 floors! It has 6 bedrooms, 4 bathrooms, 1 shower room, 2 kitchenettes, a large meeting room, a dining table for 16 adults and a games room with pool table, foosball. It can accommodate 26 adults and 2 infants. The 2-acre property is located directly along the shoreline of the Saint-Maurice River, a bay and a rocky cascading stream. The space Room layout: Basement – accommodates 4 people • 1 closed bedroom with 1 queen size bed • In the large room: 1 double pull-out bed 2nd floor - accommodates 12 people + 2 babies • 4 closed bedrooms: • 2 bedrooms with 1 queen bed + 1 baby basin • 2 bedrooms with 1 queen bed + 1 bunk bed (2 single beds) 3rd floor - accommodates 10 people • 1 closed bedroom with 1 king bed In the large room: • 1 double sofa • 2 bunk beds each comprising 1 double bed at the bottom and 1 single bed at the top In addition, the basement as well as the large open plan room on the 3rd floor can accommodate people using personal inflatable mattresses. Total capacity: 26 people + 2 babies Note that only 3 bedrooms are equipped with air conditioning (closed bedroom on the 3rd floor as well as 2 bedrooms on the 2nd floor). Check-in time must be from 3:00 p.m. on the first day. We ask that you leave the premises no later than 12pm on the day of departure, to allow sufficient time for housekeeping between two bookings. We ask that you pick up as much of your garbage as possible and dispose of it in the garbage cans outside. The cottage is operated by septic tanks. Please do not put tampons, paper towels or solid items in the toilet. It's also important not to dispose of meat fat (bacon, sausage or fatty meat) in the sink. You can dispose of it by pouring it outside or in the fire pit. The water flowing through the taps is clean city water and drinkable. No animals are allowed in the cottage, which is a non-smoking area. Please note, that you will be charged an additional fee if there are any cigarette odors or any other type of persistent smoke inside the chalet, so it is strictly forbidden to keep your outdoor shoes inside the chalet in order to avoid charges for additional housekeeping. There are two BBQs on the balcony adjacent to the kitchen. These are operated by a gas valve connected to the house. So there's no propane tank. The valve for each BBQ is located at ground level behind the BBQs. Please make sure to close the propane valves after each use. Note that the use of BBQs is strictly prohibited throughout the winter season. The kayak is at the end of the field towards the point leading to the river. The paddles are with the kayaks. It is your responsibility to store the kayak on the wooden rack after use to prevent it from drifting away. However, if it is not put back in place, the entire kayak or missing paddle will be charged to you. You will find life jackets in the lobby closet at the entrance. If you have a pleasure craft license, we encourage you to launch it at one of these locations. If you wish to make an additional rental, you can go to its service points; La Marina de Grand-mère at this address; 99 Chahoon Avenue, Shawinigan. A $26.09 service fee will be charged on site (launching is free for Shawinigan boaters upon presentation of proof of residence). In the event of a water interruption, you will be charged a $100.00 travel fee to restore the situation. Please note that this work will be performed at the times previously agreed upon. Upon your departure - Make sure you leave the place clean. - Wash the dishes used during your stay. - Close all windows, doors, air conditioning and reduce heating to 70 to avoid additional charges. - Place the cottage key in the box by resetting the code to 0000. Please note that you are solely responsible for your guests throughout your stay. We ask that you respect the neighborhood and do not make excessive noise at a late hour. If, however, we receive complaints, we will be obliged to make you leave the premises immediately and no refund will be made. Information on fees for groups of more than 12 people Please note, however, that our base rate covers up to 12 guests. For any group exceeding this number, an additional fee applies, $70 per person per night. In order to simplify management and ensure fairness, we always charge according to the largest number of people present on the private property during the stay, regardless of the distribution per night.
