Villa Banyan is a beautiful space to immerse into nature & beauty; a retreat for a romantic getaway or family excursion, a sweet home away from home. Built in 1916, it's a private cottage renovated with luxurious amenities w/ original charm. Centrally located, it’s near food/shopping/movie while being tucked in a quiet, cute & safe neighborhood surrounded with trees. 15-20 mins to SF 10 mins to Oakland or UC Berkeley WIFI + Work Space/Office Washer/Dryer private parking Private Rose Garden The space Villa Banyan is a stand alone cottage with a private garden in the front yard and an outdoor deck at the back of the house. 1 car private parking behind the house. There's a giant Magnolia tree in the private garden. In the spring, it blooms so beautifully and drops thousands of pink petals; in the summer, it forms a gorgeous canopy to provide shade with dapples of sun - sitting in the garden is a real joy. Wake up listening to bird songs, sip coffee/tea in the private front yard garden and enjoy the morning sun kissing the trees and palm leaves; rest in the swinging egg chair or relax on the bench; cook a romantic dinner in the fully equipped kitchen with high end appliances and amenities... We can think of a few fun things for you to do. Villa Banyan has a small office room with a door to close as dedicated office/work space. With 1G ultra fast wifi, it's an ideal space for work while on vacation! Villa Banyan is close to the Emeryville shopping center/restaurants/movie theaters etc. A few minutes drive to the Bay Bridge, San Francisco can be reached in as little as 15 minutes. Going to either Berkeley or Oakland from here is just a few minutes drive. Villa Banyan is set up for 2 guests comfortably; we do not recommend more than 2 guests unless you are a family trying to stay together. There's a small foldable bed in the closet. THE KITCHEN / DINING AREA We got everything for you to have romantic dinners and feel at home. The full kitchen is equipped with all new and high end amenities: designer coffee machine, Kitchenaid stove and oven, microwave, kettle, toaster, dishwasher. Pots & pans, drinkware, silverware and dinner porcelain in cabinets. THE PRIVATE GARDEN We invite you to step out to the private little front yard/garden in a sunny day. Enjoy a breakfast or afternoon drink here while listening to birds singing. Rest in the swinging chair in the afternoon dappled sunlight under the trees and enjoy a bit of quiet time. It’s quite lovely here. WIFI + Dedicated Work Space Villa Banyan features 1200 Mbps ultra fast wifi which allows working from home super easy. There's a small office space with closed door for you to do all your conference calls with privacy. LAUNDRY Villa Banyan has in-house washer/dryer; we have laundry detergent and iron for you as well. PARKING Safe parking space right behind the house by the deck. Please note the driveway is narrow and only a small/medium car is recommended to drive through. Guest access - Villa Banyan is a stand alone house with a private yard/garden; nothing inside is shared. - 1 car private parking space The closest Bart station is MacArthur at 40th which is 0.9 mile away. Other things to note This space is set up primarily for 2 adults to feel comfortable. While the sofa bed can accommodate 2 additional guests, we do not recommend booking for more than 2 people unless you are a family and try to stay together. RING CAMERA The building is equipped with Ring cameras at the every entrance as well as the parking area, We do not have any surveillance devices inside of the living space.
