STR # 300036 Morningside Unit #25 townhome is an end unit located in one of the best locations for easy access to Main Street Lake Placid and Mirror Lake. This Adirondack-style home sleeps 6-8 guests with an open floor plan making it perfect for entertaining. The first floor consists of a fully equipped kitchen, dining area, a great room with vaulted ceilings, a stone gas fireplace, a laundry room, and a full bathroom. Beach towels not provided. Please bring your own. The space The open stairway leads to the second floor which features a queen bedroom with a private open balcony, a guest bedroom with a queen and twin, a third guest bedroom with a queen and twin. A second shared bathroom is on the second floor. Within a close walk are the Lake Placid Golf Club, Mirror Lake with a public beach area, tennis courts, shops, restaurants, Olympic Center, Olympic Oval, and many Olympic venues. Whiteface Mountain is 9 miles from the Village with shuttle buses running every 45 minutes from Main Street. The Horse Show grounds and Olympic Ski Jumping Complex are a close 2-mile drive. The Adirondacks offer so many opportunities to experience the great Outdoors. Numerous nearby lakes and rivers provide our guests with swimming, rafting, boating, kayaking, SUP, canoeing, and fishing. The mountains offer hiking, rock climbing, ice climbing, and of course, winter skiing. Additionally, there are opportunities for horseback riding, snowshoeing, cross country skiing, and summer hiking, and camping. There are many guide services and ski shops that can help you plan your outdoor events and can rent you all the equipment you need. There is also plenty to do if you are not the "outdoorsy" type: stores, gift shops, theaters, art galleries, bookstores, yarn shops, farm markets, Olympic Museums, and stunning road trip opportunities. Upon checking into your home, you will find your ‘Welcome’ notebook which offers useful information for your stay; emergency numbers, things to do & see close hiking/skiing trails, recommended restaurants, and shopping, along with ‘check out' requirements. Don't forget to bring your beach towels if you are going to enjoy the lakes and public beaches . We provide towels for the bathrooms for the condo but we do not provide beach towels. Other things to note We work hard and play hard so we need our rest. There are strict limits on noise levels between 9:00 PM and 7:00 AM. Ordinances will be enforced by any law enforcement agency with jurisdiction over the short-term rental property. A violation of this ordinance will result in termination of the contract.
