Nestled in the East Texas trees, just off a major highway sits a cozy retreat waiting for you to visit. Country style living, dining area with fully stocked kitchen for your cooking pleasure or local take out available. Morning and evening our resident deer, squirrels and birds are here for your pleasure. The stars at night are Big and Bright and a Texas sunset awaits you from the front porch. Only minutes away from Palestine with its many festivals, restaurants, antiques shops. Wifi The space The living/dining area has an open concept. The kitchen features a full size refrigerator/freezer, oven and dishwasher. A coffee area with, coffee, condiments and mugs or cups. The microwave is enclosed in a cabinet to allow extra counter top. The kitchen is supplied with cooking pots & pans, toaster, crockpot, mixer, utensils, glasses & dinnerware. There are also paper goods for a quick meal. The Magnolia queen master has an on suite full bath and walk in closet. The Yellow Rose twin has ample closet space and hall full bath. The house has WIFI, satellite TV, DVD player, array of movies, games and of course books all for your pleasure. Outside features a Chiminea with plenty of wood, a grill and patio seating. Country roads for a morning stroll. Local country eateries & fuel. Enjoy a spring weekend at the Palestine Dogwood Festival. Gus England Wildlife Refuge and NASA Balloon facility are only minutes away. Take a ride on the Texas State Railroad scenic rails 11 miles away. Texas Fish Hatchery is approx 26 miles north and Cantons famous trades days once a month is 48 miles further north. Palestine, one of Texas’ oldest towns is home to the state renowned OxBow Pie Shop, many antique shops, numerous Victorian homes, Railroad Heritage Center and the “Coolest” Ace Hardware store on the planet housed in an early 1900 elementary school building ( my husband & I attended there - just not in the early 1900’s). Guest access Clara’s Cottage is located on a county road just off major highway. There is plenty of parking. Other things to note A single rollaway bed is available for a 5th guest if needed.
