Welcome to the Murray House, circa 1760s. A well preserved, notable extant piece of Chester County history, situated in historic Nantmeal Village (Glenmoore, PA). The 3 acres that make up this property today were once part of a 134-acre parcel granted in 1735 by three of William Penn's sons. The Murray family was responsible for the construction of many of the historic resources still found throughout the Village. The space The home features much of its original architecture: wooden Dutch doors, exposed beams, stone and brick fireplaces, oak floors on top of pine, and deep set sills with original windows, and built-in cabinetry. Over the years, subtle, tasteful additions have expanded the original home’s blue print into a 2,500 square foot, 3-story home built into the natural grade of the landscape. An updated kitchen features wood cabinets, stainless steel appliances, upgraded countertops and subway tile backsplash and views of established perennial gardens out every window. The remainder of this floor consists of a formal living room, dining room, an updated half bath and a laundry room. The third floor features the sleeping quarters and updated full bathroom.
