Cozy, quiet & private near Sugarloaf
This relaxing spot in the western Maine mountains is perfect for nature lovers throughout the seasons. Close to Sugarloaf, Bigelow Preserve, Flagstaff Lake and the Appalachian trail. Snowmobile rentals & 70 miles of groomed trails are 0.3 miles from our front door! Fishing, swimming, hiking, skiing, boating, Sugarloaf’s outdoor adventure center and 138 miles of ATV trails are all available close by. Restaurants, bars and local stores are walkable. Check out our guidebook! The space Recent improvements & renovations include an addition of a full size washer and dryer, a heat pump added to the second floor, and a brand new shower! Full size kitchen with plenty of sunlight, a brand new stove/oven, refrigerator, microwave, toaster, coffee maker and all the cookware you need. Plenty of dishes, utensils, mixing bowls, pots/pans, and the little things like a wine opener, peeler and pizza cutter! Essentials like coffee, tea, salt/pepper and oil are provided. We also provide kitchen towels & cleaning supplies. Kitchen door opens up into a private backyard space with a fire pit and outdoor chairs. The dining room table seats 6 comfortably and connects to the living room with two reclining couches and a Roku TV. There are 3 bedrooms upstairs featuring a king and two queen beds. (The third bedroom is through the second, but has its own door providing both rooms privacy.) Closet, dresser and hooks throughout for clothing storage. Extra pillows, blankets and plenty of towels provided! The full bathroom is also upstairs and although it's small, features a brand new shower with sliding glass doors and an adjustable, removable shower head. The spacious entryway is available for your use- great for storing outdoor gear during your stay. Guest access Off street parking is available for up to 3 vehicles in our turn-around driveway. The entire home is available for your group (with the exception of the basement & cleaning storage closets). Other things to note For some guests, the stairs leading to the second floor can feel steep and treads a bit narrow. For most guests this hasn’t been a problem, but is something to be aware of depending on your group. (This is an older home that has been recently renovated.)
