This historic house is just a 2 minute walk from Main street Vermillion with all its restaurants, bars, movie theatre, beauty spas and retail shops, while sitting on a quiet street. The space Build in 1890 this freshly painted, bright home, has a lot of its original features still in tact while modern comforts like central heat/air have been added. You enter a few steps up the porch with outdoor seating into the hallway which either leads you into the spacious, carpeted living room or up the stairs to the second floor. The living room is divided into the TV seating area with couch and arm chair, the dining area with beautiful large bay windows and opposite a big work desk. Lots of large, new windows and a high pile carpet make this a bright and cosy place to be. Passing through the living room you get into the kitchen which hasn't been updated yet, but is fully functioning and well equipped, complete with a dishwasher. It also has a bay window with a kitchen table and seating. The kitchen has a door leading outside to a side porch and concrete pathway to the parking pad. Off of the kitchen is a half bath plus washer and dryer. Upstairs are 2 bedrooms, a full bath with bathtub and an office /spare bedroom. (The office and bathroom are not connected to the central air. Space heater/fan are provided ). The largest bedroom is equipped with a queen bed, has a large build in closet, chest of drawers as well as a vanity drawer chest and a lounge chair. The second bedroom has a very comfortable new full size mattress and a small desk. We are leaving some toys and childrens books for your child to use! The recently opened Sport and Wellness Center in town has now a brand new building that houses indoor pools, saunas and Jacuzzis! Guest access There is a private concrete parking space for 2 vehicles parked back to back. This property is right in downtown where all main street has to offer is reachable by foot. We also provide a beach cruiser bike at no extra charge. Just ask at the time of booking please! Other things to note We acquired this lovely 1200 sqft home build in 1890 a few years ago and are excited to update it while bringing out all its original features and charm. The kitchen could use updating, but we did not find time for it yet. So while minor elements are still to be redone, it is a wonderful welcoming and uplifting place to relax and feel at home in. The third bedroom/office has a Queen size fold out futon which is very comfortable! All bedrooms are upstairs. The house can comfortably sleep 4 guests but a family of 2 adults and 3 children would also be possible. We occasionally allow guests to bring their pets. Although we do extensive cleaning after a pet visit, if you have a severe pet hair allergy it might be important for you to know that pets do sometimes stay at the house.
