Nestled in a leafy residential neighborhood in Central Austin, 1/2 mile north of the UT Austin campus and less than ten minutes from Austin's vibrant downtown. We're just a short drive from Shoal Creek trails, marvelous Pease Park, glorious Laguna Gloria's Italianate-style villa & Contemporary Museum, Blanton Museum, Mt. Bonnell's vistas, farmer's markets, boutique shopping, and live music venues galore. "It was like a little hidden treasure in the middle of Austin!" This delightful guest house is very private, tucked safely behind our historic home in a fenced yard. You have your own porch and access to our beautiful large backyard, fire pit, and dining patio. Guest access We're only 13 miles easy miles from Austin/Bergstrom airport. Uber, Lyft, and taxis operate all over Austin. There's plenty of FREE PARKING on the residential street directly in front of our house. For nearby fun electric scooters and motorized bikes easily available to rent - Bird: Scooters cost $1 to start riding and 45 cents per minute ($3 minimum, plus tax). Per-ride fee of 15 cents to cover City of Austin fee. Lime: Scooters cost $1 to start riding and 35 cents per minute (City of Austin fee included). Or rent a simple bike at Austin B-cycle, with various pick-ups throughout the city. Come have fun. Other things to note Please note that this is a STUDIO GUESTHOUSE with ONE QUEEN BED. The couch is small and not a sleeper-sofa. One or two guests are delightful as long as they want to sleep in the same bed. Don't forget to rent a paddle board, canoe, or kayak, or go for a walk or run on nearby Ladybird Lake Trail (3 miles away). It's a fantastic place to people-watch or meet. Barton Springs is where you'll want to be in the heat of summer. And if you need a reminder: Austin is the Live Music Capital of the World. Go get it!
