Generations- An 8th generation working dairy farm

Come stay with us on our 8th generation working dairy farm in the driftless region of southwest Wisconsin. There are abundant outdoor recreation opportunities at your fingertips as well (fishing, hiking, ATVing, snowmobiling, cross country skiing, snow shoeing, bicycling, hiking, and kayaking). Come enjoy the outdoors! The space The farmhouse was constructed in the 1850s. It was originally a log building but has been updated with vinyl siding to preserve it throughout the years. Please note there is no bathroom upstairs. The home has 1 bathroom on the lower level. On the lower level, there is a large family room, large bathroom with a full tub, a washer and dryer, a bedroom with a king size bed, and, an eat in kitchen, as well a separate dining area. We have high speed internet with the ability to stream, and a 42-inch tv in the living room. Other things to note Around here, it's a family affair. There are 3 families that share duties to help maintain this rental property. All families live nearby. Bob and Kris are just across the lane from the rental. They operate the dairy farm. It has been in Kris’ family since the beginning in 1856. She is the 6th generation to live on and operate the farm. They have 2 grown children and 6 grandchildren. Their daughter, Janna (7th generation) and her husband, Dan have 2 children. Their son, Steve and his wife Ciji have 4 children. We are a half mile from Mill Creek, a class 1 trout stream. Other area attractions within an hour’s distance include Starlite Drive-In Theater, American Players Theater, House on the Rock, Taliesen, Oakwood Fruit Farm, The Lower Wisconsin River/Muscoda area, Wild Hills Winery, Viroqua, The Driftless Café, Kickapoo Valley Reserve, Baraboo’s Circus World, all the attractions in the Wisconsin Dells area, Governor Dodge State Park, Wildcat Mountain State Park, and Devil’s Lake State Park to name a few.
