Tower House - Heart of The Avenues

Our 1941 charming bungalow sits in the heart of The Avenues of Chico directly across the street from an iconic water tower. This classic Chico Charmer is in a great neighborhood with close proximity to downtown, the CSU Chico campus, Enloe Hospital, and Bidwell Park. This the perfect location to explore all that Chico has to offer! The space The Tower house is a charming bungalow that features 2 bedrooms, 1 bathroom, full kitchen, washer/dryer, and plenty of space for a small group. Each bedroom has a queen bed with cotton sheets and two pillows. There are a few extra blankets around the home and two extra pillows. For the fifth guest, there is an air mattress available. Each bedroom and the living space has a ductless mini split heating and cooling system. We have set the system to function in the most efficient way, but there are instructions for how to operate the system in the binder provided. The home also has a whole house fan that can be used, but we ask that you open at least one window and the front door before use. If this is not done, the unit can be ruined. There are ceiling fans in each room, dining area, and living room. Chico can get hot, so please reach out directly to us during your stay if you need help with cooling. The kitchen features granite counters, single basin sink, gas stove, convention oven, over the range microwave, refrigerator with freezer, coffee maker, and hot water kettle. We have provided a set of dinnerware, wine glasses, cups, mugs, silverware, and other kitchen basics. The bathroom is a tub/shower with an on demand water heater. As temping as it is to take an hour long hot shower, please be mindful that we live in California and are in an ongoing drought. There is a washer and dryer available for use during your stay. If you need to use the units, please follow the instructions provided in the binder. We only use laundry pods in these units. Please enjoy a cup of coffee or evening glass of wine on the covered front porch with a view of the iconic water tower just across the street! You won't regret it! Guest access There is free street parking on either side of the home. Please do not block any driveways in the neighborhood. We have a long term tenant in the second unit on the property that faces E 6th Avenue. The driveway belongs to the long that unit. You will access The Tower House using the front door that faces Oleander Avenue (the side with the water tower) with an electronic deadbolt. We ask that you use the front door for your stay to not disturb the other unit.
