There is nothing quite like a peaceful stay out on the farm. Especially when you are not responsible for feeding the animals or fixing the fences! We have a fun & ever changing mix of animals with even more fun personalities! The space is located near local attractions of all sorts, gas & grocery stores, a variety of options for breakfast, lunch and supper! All the while, tucked quietly away in a safe and small country/farm neighborhood. The sky is truly more beautiful and clear out here than just about anywhere I’ve seen! Step outside, spark up the fire put, sit back and enjoy the full glory of the night sky with interruption from city lights. Or grab a blanket and tuck away inside with a movie or a great book from our collection. There is something for everyone. Games for the family, toys for the little ones, or a candle and some bath salts for some sweet alone time. Walk in and allow the peacefulness to wash over you and bring you joy, whatever your flavor is. A fully stocked kitchenette makes it simple to grab your ingredients for all of the home-made meals you plan to enjoy during your great escape! A full size bathroom and tub (with a shower) and impressively long lasting hot water makes for a great time washing away worries of the day. If you are looking somewhere cozy, quiet, and a place that welcomes you like home… well, you better get to booking, because you have found your next stay. Guest access Upon arrival, you will see a private rock driveway. When you see the large blue pallet that says “WELCOME TO THE FARM”, the next right is your turn in. There is another “WELCOME TO THE FARM” sign on the exterior of the building with outdoor lights. Your entrance is the white door located in between the two sitting/fire pit areas. Please park on the graveled area and please avoid parking in the area that is near the fence or in front of the large cattle gate leading to the pastures. When you arrive, there is a key lockbox on the wall near the door and you will receive the code within your CHECK-IN INSTRUCTIONS. There is an additional key hanging inside the space. Please be sure to return both keys to their homes, lock the lockbox back and turn the dial off of the code. You are welcome to check-in anytime after 3PM. If you would like to check-in earlier, please be sure to reach out and let us know so we can do our best to accommodate! Other things to note You will be using a septic system. It is just like normal plumbing, but much more emotional. I HIGHLY encourage, (because demand sounds kind of rude), that you do NOT flush any feminine products, wipes (even the “FLUSHABLE” or “SEPTIC SAFE” wipes). Unless you consider overflowing toilets and paying for your host’s plumbing repairs an essential part of a great vacation, then you will thank me later! The whole property derives its’ water from an underground spring right underneath your feet, (well - VERY farm underneath your feet)! There is a water filtration system that purifies the water using natural minerals and allows us to avoid harsh chemicals. We work very hard to maintain clean environments and a manicured property. We do have the property treated for protection from bug friends and do preventative maintenance, as well. However, we ask that you be very mindful that you are choosing to stay on a FARM in the COUNTRY in the beautiful state of TEXAS. So please do not be shocked or dismayed if you see one of Mother Nature’s little critters. We work hard to keep them in the great outdoors where they are meant to be, but we do ask that you keep in mind, they love indoor plumbing and air conditioning just as much as the rest of us and are quite relentless in their search for it!
