Cabin near Dodge Ridge & Pinecrest | Sleeps 10
Description
The Ponderosa Pine Lodge is a 4-bedroom cabin sleeping 10, just 15 minutes from Pinecrest Lake and Dodge Ridge Ski Resort. Tucked in the gated Sierra Park community. Backing to Stanislaus National Forest for trails right out the back door and walking-distance to the community lake, lodge, and playground. Two fireplaces, a full kitchen, three king beds in private bedrooms and a downstairs "Bear Den" kids space. Backyard firepit and cornhole. Year-round mountain getaway for families! The space This 4 bedroom, 2 bathroom cabin is perfect for 2 families with over 2,000sqft of useable space. Both bedrooms on the main floor are situated with comfortable king size beds and smartTVs. The bathroom on the main floor is extra large with a large shower. If you have young children, we do provide a portable bathtub to be used in the shower as needed. The open space living room and kitchen make the perfect gathering place for family meals and board games. Although there is central heat, if you prefer a fireplace, there are two fireplaces on the main floor, a wood burning stove and an open wood burning fireplace. Downstairs you'll find the bear den, equipped with a queen bed, a trundle bed (2 twin beds) and as well as a second living room with pull-out couch. There is a gas fireplace downstairs and the large lazy-boy couch with a very comfortable pull out bed. There is a large TV/DVD player and a full bathroom. Downstairs you will also find a private bedroom with a king size bed and a smartTV. This bedroom has direct access to the downstairs laundry room with a washer and dryer available if needed. When you're at the cabin, we want you to relax and enjoy all that the mountains have to offer. The property backs to the forest with access to an old logging road for hiking or biking. We have created a backyard basecamp, with a firepit and cornhole game for all to enjoy. Roast marshmallows or sit by the fire, take a walk or relax with a cozy blanket. We hope you enjoy your mountain getaway. Guest access Guests will have access to the entire cabin. There is a locked storage space on the exterior of the cabin and the detached garage that is also locked and used for personal storage. Other things to note Heads up - the kitchen does not have a dish washer, all dishes should be washed by hand or use disposable plates / utensils. Cell phone service can be spotty at the cabin depending on your carrier. There is a new AT&T 5g tower in the area and AT&T cell service works great. WiFi is available throughout the cabin and works well for browsing, email, and light streaming. Because we're in a remote mountain area, our internet can sometimes be unreliable so we ask guests to stream thoughtfully. Smart TVs are in the living room and three bedrooms. The cabin has central heat for cozy winter nights. There is no central air conditioning, but at this elevation summers stay naturally cool under the tree canopy - most guests find evenings genuinely chilly. Ceiling fans, floor fans, and a portable AC unit are provided for warmer afternoons. Both bathrooms have walk-in showers (no bathtubs). For families with young children, we provide a portable bathtub that fits inside the shower.
