Welcome! Imagine waking up ten steps from the water, kayak paddles already calling your name. The Lake House on Lake Sara puts you right at the edge of the lake — with four kayaks, a crackling fire pit, and a sunlit enclosed porch to come home to. The Lake House is located just a short walk to the Beach, Pinky’s , The Rusty Reel Bar (below Pinky’s) and The Marina. The beach offers a beautiful playground, pavilions, exercise equipment, pickleball courts and a frisbee golf course! The space The Lake House has an open floor plan for the living room and kitchen. The two bedrooms are located just off the living room with the bathroom just off the kitchen. One bedroom has a queen sized bed and the second has two twin beds. The back porch is finished with lots of windows! Sit back and enjoy the evening without the bugs! Four kayaks are available and shared between our two lakeside properties — plenty for a group, and life jackets in multiple sizes are provided. Lake rules state anyone over 12 years old are not required to wear them on the water but you are required to have one in the kayak with you. The lake house does sit back in the cove and is in more shallow water. I recommend guest who want to swim to head to the beach which is a short walk through the campground. The Lake House has its own boat dock and slip — bring your kayaks, paddleboard, or boat and leave it in the water for your entire stay. The dock puts you directly on the lake, with the beach, marina, and Pinky’s just a short paddle away. The lake house offers a charcoal grill for outside use. Charcoal and other amenities for grilling are recommended to bring. There is a fire pit in the back, Wood is provided. Pulling bark off the hickory tree or any other tree to throw in the fire pit will result in fines. Please respect the property. The lake house is stocked with the basic kitchen amenities. Pots, pans, silverware, knives, baking sheet, crock pot, cooking utensils, coffee pot, air-fryer, microwave, kettle, air fryer and dishes. Please note when typing in the address to manually add the address. There is a similar address that takes you south. If you are headed away from the lake after typing in the address it is wrong. The cabin sits on the waters edge. All reservation should reflect the amount of people staying correctly, including pets. We love welcoming pets! Up to 2 dogs are welcome (a pet fee applies). Please keep them leashed on the property, clean up after them, and don’t leave them home alone in the house. ESA pets are subject to the same pet fee as other pets. If you have more than 2 pets please message me. Guest access The Lake House has a shared drive with the Cabin. Please be respectful of people at the cabin and park appropriately for all using the properties. Other things to note The lake is located just behind the house. Kayaks are available to use on the water. I recommend using the beach for swimming, the cove is shallow. Also please keep an eye on your children and pets. There is no fence or barrier between the Lake House and the water.
