Walk to absolutely everything in Carbondale - located right on Main St. Short drive to Aspen, Sunlight & Glenwood Springs. Sherpa Chalet is one of the few historic cabins remaining on Main Street, right in the heart of downtown Carbondale. This old cabin has been updated with modern finishes, to make your stay comfortable and cozy. Walk to absolutely everything in Carbondale. The Rio Grande trail passes right in front of the property. Two bedrooms, one queen bed, one king bed. One Bathroom. Amazon Alexa smart speaker in the space - just ask for music, news or the up to date local snow report. Roku Smart TV with Bose sound bar for streaming all your favorite shows and movies. Full sized kitchen, with eat- in dining nook facing the backyard. Watch the deer in the backyard while you drink your coffee. The hosts live locally and are happy to answer questions for guests in person or via message. Please let us know how we can make your stay more comfortable! Ours is a fairly quiet house with early hours. We love to visit when work allows, but also respect your privacy. LGBTQ friendly and affirming family. Guests have access to the entire cabin, backyard & two (tandem) off street parking spaces. We live locally and are available to answer any questions. Family friendly and young neighborhood. Sopris park in downtown Carbondale is just 3 blocks away. The Rio Grande trail, stretching from Glenwood Springs , through Carbondale and onto Aspen, passes right in front of the cabin. Check out great local restaurants like: Phat Thai, Brass Anvil, Allegria Pasta and Izakaya sushi. Sip on some of Colorado's best distilled spirits at Marble Distilling Co. Try some Hand-Crafted Micro Brew and Local Seasonal Food at Beer Works. Relax at True Nature, enjoy daily classes in yoga, movement and meditation, personal growth workshops, a luxury spa, a socially conscious gift boutique and an organic café. Or go for a soak at the famous Avalanche Ranch Hot Springs (reservation required) or the lesser known (and free) Penny Hot Springs or South Canyon Hippy Dip. Thrift your heart out - several must see mountain thrift stores right downtown - a dozen thrifting spots in the valley (including the nation's #1 Re-Store). Run, bike or walk up Red Hill - a local trail system with breathtaking views of Mt. Sopris, two rivers and the Roaring Fork Valley. Walk to absolutely everything in Carbondale. Take easy public transport (bus) to Aspen, Basalt, Glenwood Springs. Miles and miles of single track biking right from the house. One block off of the paved Rio Grande bike path. Bike the path to Glenwood Springs, Basalt & Aspen.
