Guest access The entire property is open for exloration except for the garage, Miners Cabin, the School bus, and the Airstream. There are guests in the Miners Cabin with 2 large leashed dogs and a tenant in the school bus with 2 small unleashed dogs. All very friendly! We also have a couple of goats and laying hens on the property, they may be free ranging or in their fenced in areas. All are super friendly so its okay to feed them vegetable scraps and pet them. The CAAMP trail leads up from just beyond the Disc Golf Cage near the garage. It is steep and rocky with some fallen trees. CAAMP trail leads to a couple of old mining or logging camps. The trail was created in the 1800s and is on no maps I have seen. The Ben Tyler trail is one mile N on 285 and is another access to Lost Creek Wilderness. We are in the heart of the rocky mountains so be aware of bears and mountain lions: Keep your distance: Don't approach any wild animal, and give them space to leave you alone. Make noise: Talk or make noise to warn wildlife of your presence. Keep pets leashed: Keep your pets secure on a leash to prevent conflicts. Avoid attracting wildlife: Don't litter, and don't leave food or garbage out. If you encounter a mountain lion: If you encounter a mountain lion, stay calm, speak firmly, and move slowly. Don't run, as this may trigger the lion's chase instinct. Face the lion, raise your arms, and open your jacket to make yourself appear larger. If the lion is aggressive, throw objects, wave your arms, and fight back if attacked. If you encounter a bear: If you encounter a bear, don't run, as this may trigger the bear to chase you. Slowly and calmly back away while facing the bear. Don't throw food to distract a bear. If attacked, fight back. Other things to note WiFi is Starlink satellite and is restricted after it hits a monthly limit. This means you can still use for most streaming of movies but demands over that become spotty. Not really suited for full teleconferencing, but can stream shows (some buffering) and do work tasks easily!
