Just 2 miles south of Aurora, and a 5 minute walk to Long Point State Park with access to a public boat launch, swimming/playground/picnic area and stunning lake views. This cozy cottage offers a truly unique experience with beautiful lakeviews and 22 acres of private wooded trails behind it. Heron Cottage is the perfect spot to enjoy Fingerlakes wineries & breweries and is minutes from The Inns of Aurora. The space Heron Cottage is a two bedroom, one bathroom home with an open kitchen, living room/dining space. The front deck provides lots of space for BBQ and outdoor dining and lounging. Pour yourself a glass of wine and watch the gorgeous Cayuga Lake sunsets. You’ll have access to your own private fire pit and backyard where you can roast marshmallows and relax by the fire after exploring the beautiful Fingerlakes. Guest access Guests have shared access to nearly 100ft of private lakefront. Enjoy kayaking, picnicking or watching sunsets on the dock. You can also enjoy 22 acres of wooded trails directly behind the cottage. Grab your morning coffee and take a hike out back! Be sure to look for the waterfall at the first bend in the trail. If you want additional lake access, take a stroll down the drive and head to Long Point State Park. You’ll definitely want to soak in this lakeview. Other things to note Please contact us for inquiries regarding arriving by boat or using boat slip during your stay. Direct access to the lake is now available from the cottage. This is a shared lakefront but you are welcome to enjoy the space. There are kayaks available for your use. Public lake access is always available at Long Point State park, just a quick walk down the road.
