The space Looking for a romantic getaway in the City of Love? Then the Colorado King experience is for you! Your room features many hand-crafted treasures, from the custom-made walls and hand-painted furniture to the authentic 1970s rock wall fireplace. With phenomenal views of the Rocky Mountains, a soft, luxurious king bed and electric fireplace, this room's vintage-inspired interior will transport you into a cozy, mountainside cabin with all the amenities of the city: fast WiFi, cable TV, streaming options, and a fully-stocked kitchenette with microwave, mini-fridge, toaster, Keurig machine with K-cups, dishes & flatware. Complimentary coffee (K-cups only), tea, & snacks provided. You have access to two shared, full bathrooms, one right outside your door. Please be mindful of quiet hours (10 PM to 7 AM). This is an old house, and noise carries. Have fun, and explore all public areas of the Museinn during your stay (i.e., follow all posted signs and do not enter areas that are marked as private or off-limits): - The lobby has various art exhibits on display, an antique upright piano, and books/DVDs you’re welcome to borrow during your visit. - Elvis watches over the history room and would love to take a few selfies with you. - The swim spa (combination hot tub/small heated pool) boasts beautiful mountain views and is privately located behind our workshop. - Walk the yard to see historical farm equipment, salvaged art pieces, eco-friendly gardens and more. Originally built in 1904 as an orphanage on 200 acres of farmland, The Oasis now sits on ½-acre of serenity in the middle of town. Shopping, groceries, and Loveland’s revitalized downtown are all within minutes, and you’re just a short drive to the wonders of Estes Park (45 minutes), Rocky Mountain National Park (55 minutes), and Fort Collins/Colorado State University (15-20 minutes). Guest access Your room is completely private, with a door that locks automatically and opens electronically with a 4-digit code. The two bathrooms, while shared between 4 total rooms, have door locks and are for people to use one at a time, like any residential bathroom. They come with a toilet, sink, and bath/shower combination. All guests enter The Oasis from the lobby and have access to the ice machine in the history room. All guests also share access to the swim spa and other outside areas. If you’d like to use the swim spa during your stay, please reach out when you're ready to use it so we can open the cover for you. Otherwise, we keep it closed for safety, cleanliness and efficiency. Other things to note Please DO NOT book this room if you: - Value a private bathroom more than an amazing “experience stay” - Need absolute darkness/quiet to sleep (we provide sound machines in every room, but you still may hear floors creaking, people walking around, etc.); also, we have lights in hallways/common areas on 24/7 for everyone’s safety and security while moving about after dark - Expect a former orphanage/120-year old farmhouse to have spacious bedrooms and look brand-new Please DO BOOK if you: - Love art/history - Value unique experiences and appreciate the unusual - Would enjoy meeting the resident artists (Jason & Lindsay) responsible for designing and creating The Oasis. - Like salvage art, repurposing and thrifting We live onsite; the easiest way to contact us is to call, text or message us through Airbnb if you have any questions or need anything. We're here for you! NOTE: We utilize security cameras on-site for guests' safety and security; the only inside camera monitors the lobby/history room on the ground floor. Outdoor cameras monitor the parking lot, swim spa, and back yard areas.
