This century old home in the heart of Winston Salem awaits you. Located in the highly coveted West End district, this home is a 5-10 minute drive to almost anything you’ll be visiting Winston Salem for. Decorated with both modern and vintage furnishings, this home takes on the artsy feel so often associated with Winston. It’s sure to feel like your home away from home! The space The house has been updated and professionally decorated in 2021 and has a mix of vintage and modern furnishings. Original hardwoods and a claw foot tub in the downstairs bath layer on the character that this neighborhood is known for. Sit on the front porch and enjoy a morning coffee or unwind from the day on the rattan porch couch. This is a non-smoking home. Please DO NOT smoke inside the house. Guest access Guests have access to the front porch, foyer, dining room, living room, kitchen, bathroom, and laundry room downstairs. The back deck is going to be redone soon and I’d prefer guests stay off of it until then. Sleeping areas and bathrooms upstairs are also accessible to guests. Other things to note This home is in a family friendly neighborhood and parties are not allowed. Please respect this house policy and book elsewhere if you’re planning to get wild. Due to this being a 100 year old home, this will not have the same sterile feel as a hotel room. The hardwood floors creak in some places and sometimes ants or bugs find their way into the interior. The house is regularly exterminated and we do everything we can to mitigate this. During longer stays, you will find that dust accumulation may occur as the house is always settling and adding to it’s character. High end air purifiers are located in bedrooms. There is also a chance of noise from ambulances given the proximity to Wake Forest Baptist Hospital. Please bring headphones or ear plugs if you are sensitive to noise.
