Charming Lakefront Cottage on Peaceful Glamor Lake

Three Islands Cottage in Haliburton Highlands is our escape from the city. The trees, the windy road and the view of the lake provide calm and a welcome retreat. You will have easy access to the lake (15 feet), with shallow entry, and a dock, where swimming and other water activities are accessible. The pine interior and open concept provides simplicity for your relaxation and enjoyment of your time away. Highlands East Short Term Rental License: STR25-0024; Kodiak Trail The space Three Islands Cottage is our first cottage, and we want to share it's easy access, simple environment and peaceful setting with you. We hope you will enjoy it's tranquility as much as we do. Three Islands Cottage is on a level lot within 15 feet of the lake. Private setting with a walk-out to deck from living room, and a large floating covered dock for sun and shade while sitting on the water. The islands, part of the property, provide privacy as well as constant wildlife action - both the loons and a Heron regularly visit. Glamor Lake is the right size - big enough for motorized activity, but small enough to spend a day fishing, swimming, canoeing, kayaking or paddle boarding. Glamor Lake is a friendly family oriented community. The cottage provides 3 large bedrooms, all on one level for accessible stay. A living area has comfortable recliners for conversation and entertainment. A large table inside provides enough room for 7 people. The kitchen is fully equipped for cooking and preparing meals together. There is a walk out to the deck from the living area, with a large area for conversation, as well as outdoor dining with BBQ. The front lawn has an area for sitting, enjoying a view of the lake and a campfire. The back lawn is also flat and has room to play bocci ball and washer toss. Included for your use: 2 person pedal boat, canoe, 2 kayaks, and various noodles and floats; indoor games and movies. A TV with Netflix and unlimited internet is provided. Fishing for rainbow trout, lake trout, small mouth bass, large mouth bass, and pan fish are all present in Glamor Lake. The cottage has easy access to many local sites. Haliburton, a 20 minute drive, Irondale, a 15 minute drive, the IB & O Rail Trail, Gooderham, a 10 minute drive; are all close and provide a variety of restaurants, activities and hiking. Guest access Guests will have the entire property to themselves: Cottage, waterfront, deck and dock. There is plenty of parking on a wide and level lot. 3 km. on Ursa Road from Glamorgan Rd. (Hwy 3). Kodiak Trail is a private road through forested area leading to parking for at least 2 cars. Road and ATV access to Gooderham, Haliburton and the I.B. & O Rail Trail. Use of Car is required to access towns and sites in area. Haliburton (20 min) has all your needs; Gooderham (10 min) has a general store and LCBO. 2 hours 20 minutes from Toronto. Other things to note LINENS NOT provided. Bed, bath and kitchen linens are not provided. Please bring your own sheets. Duvets and pillows will be provided. SEPTIC: We are on septic and nothing other than toilet paper (provided) and natural human waste to be flushed. (No baby wipes, Lysol wipes, no feminine hygiene products whatsoever) GARBAGE: Please take all garbage and recycling with you when you leave. Access to the local garbage disposal site is available during your stay. Never leave food or garbage outside, or accessible to critters, and avoid feeding the wildlife. WIFI: We have WiFi provided to you. Cell phone and data signal is good. WATER: We draw water from the lake to use in the cottage - filtered and treated for washing. It is not suitable for drinking. Please bring your own drinking water.
