Description
Private-entrance, stunning guest unit. Welcome access to formal gardens, and court yards on picturesque grounds. Middleburg is 4miles (5* Salamander Resort & SPA). "Downtown" of The Plains is 4m. Hike 150 acres of bucolic countryside with unique, sunset views of the Blue Ridge & Bull Run Mountains. Sparkling clean. Ideal for someone's regular weekend serenity. Soaking tub and cedar-lined closet create an elegant country capsule. Kitchen in the Hunt Box, an independent building. The space This 1930's stone home by a famed architect is in the heart of Virginia horse country. Expect to see deer and turkey wandering about. We love our property- and delight in sharing the warmth and peace it brings us with sympatico travelers. The guest wing, while integrated into the main Estate, has a private walk-out (and a lock-off from the main house.) Think of it as an attached apartment. Property is home to horses, chickens, cattle, bunnies, and goats. There is a whole-house generator (for the suite), so you can weather storms. Between the cedar-lined closet and grand antique armoire, you can fully unpack and commit to a kind environment. The en-suite coffee cart is COMPLEMENTED BY A PRIVATE eat-in kitchen (with dishwasher) LOCATED A FEW STEPS FROM THE SUITE, in a marvel of a Hunt Box. The Hunt Box is spacious enough to include a fireplace and reading/napping area with comfy chairs, alongside the dining table and the cooking items. The full bathroom includes a soaking tub and a hand-held shower handle. This handle is not attached to the wall or a mount, and is designed to be held in one hand for use. This is very European countryside. The photos the set-up in detail. Within the suite, there is proper desk, executive-style chair, and lamp as a dedicated workspace. WIFI is satellite service - we use it for video calls and watching movies -- not gamer speeds. Please note the wifi does not reach the Hunt Box, but many cell providers do. A washer and dryer are available in a common corner of the garage. These are shared with others. Guest access Parking is easy...you'll park right outside your entrance. Only 1 vehicle is allowed on the property. Other things to note For those who need to work out even when they wander, we have a small set of hand weights, and a yoga mat for loan. There is plenty of road to run or walk and even fencing-work (if that appeals to ya!) Always, something to do on a farm to keep you in shape and rejuvenated. (please note there is a pool onsite, but it is not available for guest use, given liability precautions.) The Marshall community center runs a clean, publicly-available gym for a nominal fee - this is about 4miles away. We also have a bounce-back that you can use for tennis practice - our court needs new turf so is under the weather at the moment - but there is a small portion of it that can be used with the bounceback to work on returns. A sample of the fun to be had: Not playing favorites here, simply a starter-for-10 of how many areas you can see from your cozy stay.
