Nestled in a tranquil setting, providing a spacious, cozy stay moments from downtown Sisters. Perfect for gathering larger parties or a few guests who want to pamper themselves, it is my pleasure to host you at my magical place! Enjoy the many modern touches: spacious sleeping areas, two claw-foot tubs, a walk-in shower, an outdoor private wet/dry sauna, close access to Wychus Creek, a fully stocked kitchen, a cozy living room sectional, a fireplace, a Roku TV, surround sound, a covered, lit Gazebo, and multiple outdoor seating areas to unwind. WHAT TO EXPECT- IF YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS OR CONCERNS, PLEASE COMMUNICATE WITH ME ON THE AIRBNB RESERVATION PLATFORM. I’LL GET BACK TO YOU AS SOON AS POSSIBLE. **Please use only the supplies you need to make your stay comfortable. Also, a nice option to bring your own beach towel and flip flops for sauna use. Thank you! TIP: Some restaurants book up fast, so make reservations in advance. Also, we are a smaller community, and restaurants close very early. Be ready to eat by 7:30-8 pm, as options are limited. I know, early! EXTENSIVE PARKING beyond the white picket fence. Walk through the gate to a stone walkway and four steps to access the front door and the uncovered patio. Please be cautious with weather variations; sometimes, the stepping stones and steps can be slippery. 1. ACCESS TO THE COTTAGE with the Black Master Lockbox to the right of the front door. The lock box code is frequently changed for the safety of all guests. This will be updated on the Airbnb site. Additionally, eufy cameras are positioned at the front and back doors, as well as above the garage door. These actively record video and are also for guests’ safety. 2. ONCE INSIDE, on the main level, two additional keys will be on the cabinet to the left of the coat rack. Please return the key to the lockbox and use the spare keys provided. BLACK MASTER LOCKBOX CODE- LOCATED IN THE “HOUSE MANUAL” AND ALSO IN THE DESCRIPTIONS OF MY PROPERTY UNDER “MY SPACE”. 8. CENTRAL HEAT AND AC IN THE ENTIRE COTTAGE. The thermostat is considered an innovative system, such as the Nest. * THE THERMOSTAT IS SET TO ECO WHEN NO ONE IS IN THE HOME FOR ENERGY EFFICIENCY. AS SOON AS SOMEONE WALKS BY THE THERMOSTAT, IT WILL TURN THE SYSTEM ON. IT IS A HEAT PUMP AND WILL TAKE A BIT TO HEAT OR COOL. * *TO CHANGE THE TEMPERATURE, GENTLY MOVE THE DIAL TO THE LEFT OR RIGHT, GENTLY PRESS DOWN, AND MOVE TO THE DESIRED TEMPERATURE. TO THE RIGHT IS HEAT(RED) AND THE LEFT IS COOL( BLUE). THE SETTING IN THE SUMMER WILL MOST LIKELY BE SET FOR AC ONLY. YOU’LL ONLY HAVE THE OPTION TO MAKE IT COOLER OR STAY AT ROOM TEMPERATURE. PRETTY SELF-EXPLANATORY. *The upstairs can get slightly warmer than the lower levels during summer. Close the blinds on hot summer days, or use the provided fans to help circulate the air. Additionally, it’s a nice option to open the windows in the evenings to let in cool air. There are screens on the windows. Central Oregon typically is considerably cooler in the evening, even in the summer. *PLEASE NOTE- During the summer months, while the AC runs, THE LOWEST LEVEL OR THE BASEMENT IS THE COOLEST AREA IN THE COTTAGE. NICE OPTION FOR THOSE WHO LOVE TO SLEEP IN A COOLER ENVIRONMENT. IF NEEDED, PLEASE LOOK AROUND FOR EXTRA BLANKETS, AND THERE ARE TWO PORTABLE HEATERS. 9. FIREPLACE ON/OFF SWITCH IS ON THE RIGHT SIDE. PLEASE TRY TO CONSERVE ENERGY WHEN NOT IN THE ROOM. TURN OFF WHEN LEAVING THE COTTAGE OR GOING TO BED. THANK YOU FOR YOUR CONSIDERATION. 10. ON THE MAIN LEVEL OF THE COTTAGE—There are two spacious bedrooms with queen-sized beds, plenty of closet space, and dressers for your belongings. One room features a long mirror, while the other has a smaller one. *WOODEN BLINDS THROUGHOUT THE COTTAGE. They are fragile! Please shut with care. Thank you! * VINYL BLIND ON THE FRENCH DOOR IN ONE OF THE BEDROOMS. PLEASE LEAVE DOWN AND ONLY USE THE HANDLE TO OPEN AND CLOSE. 12. MAIN LEVEL FULL BATHROOM. This bathroom has a clawfoot tub and a modern shower head. Please leave the shower curtain inside the tub to prevent water damage. Also, switch on the fan when showering. Thank you. * BATH MAT, AND SAFETY BAR available. Please use only the towels needed for your stay to ensure comfort. 13. CLOSET UNDER THE STAIRCASE: Vacuum cleaners, brooms, and wood floor cleaners. Please do not use water on the hardwood floors; only Bona is provided. 14. HALL CLOSET: Many things are available for your use: cleaning supplies, towels, grip socks, extra toilet paper, paper towels, blow dryer, facial, sunscreen, some bug spray, shampoos, conditioner, face masks, fire extinguisher, First Aid Kit, and cleaning supplies. Take a look, and you may find it there. 15. SPACIOUS LIVING ROOM WITH LARGE SECTIONAL. THE GAS FIREPLACE TO ENJOY IN THE WINTER MONTHS AND THE SPACIOUS SECTIONAL HAS A SLEEPER BED. Roku TV offers a wide range of free entertainment, including surround sound, multiple games, card games, magazines, and local newspapers. Please do not sign out of the accounts. This will prevent other quests from enjoying the free streaming. Thank you for your consideration. *LIVING ROOM OPENS UP TO A WELL-STOCKED KITCHEN and a lovely dining area with a breakfast nook, gorgeous chandelier, and French doors to access the back deck, covered Gazebo, BBQ, outside propane heater, private dry/wet sauna, and the tranquil backyard setting. *THE KITCHEN has a variety of essentials to make an excellent meal. Also provided are organic coffee (Caffeinated and Decaf), a coffee grinder, a coffee maker, a Keurig, an electric kettle, and teapots. A variety of teas, coffee beans (caffeinated and decaffeinated), and coffee pods. No icemaker, but have ice trays available. *Various condiments, some local favorite grilling spices, and cooking books. For those who don’t want to deal with dishes, paper plates, plastic cups, and utensils are in the cupboard near the breakfast nook. Unfortunately, I couldn’t fit the garbage disposal under the sink because it comes with a strainer. Please remove food debris from plates when using the dishwasher. 16. The DINING ROOM has enough chairs to seat eight guests: 6 chairs for the dining room table and 2 breakfast-nook chairs. If needed, there is a leaf. It’s an oak table, and the leaf and table are heavy! Be careful when placing breakfast trays in the living room. *THE CHANDELIER switch is found to the left of the breakfast nook. You’ll also see a fire extinguisher mounted on the dining room wall. * LIVE PLANTS are sporadically placed around the cottage. Please do not water them. Just enjoy the fresh air and ambiance they provide. 17. The smart voice is found in the dining room near the plants. Just say, “HEY go...gle,” and the base will light up and ask anything, e.g., “What temp is it in Sisters?” The go...gle voice will respond. Ask, “Hey, go...gle, play music.” It will play your favorite tune. 18. UPSTAIRS YOU’LL FIND THE PRIMARY BEDROOM WITH A COMFY QUEEN BED, SITTING AREA, OFFICE AREA, AND FULL-SIZED BATHROOM WITH a clawfoot TUB, AND A WALK-IN SHOWER. This is a private space separate from the other rooms. 19. THE UPSTAIRS PRIMARY BATHROOM is a bright, beautiful space with travertine tile, a clawfoot tub, and a large walk-in shower with a modern shower head. SKYLIGHT AND MULTIPLE WINDOWS. When showering, PLEASE TURN ON THE FAN OR OPEN THE WINDOWS TO REMOVE THE HUMIDITY. ALL WINDOWS HAVE SCREENS. * BE CAUTIOUS with the wet tile! Feel free to use the bath mats provided. AN OPTION IS TO GENTLY MOVE THE SHOWER HEAD TO THE RIGHT TO PREVENT THE WATER FROM GOING ON THE TILE. PRIMARY BATHROOM—Refer to the list of amenities provided. There may even be more supplies when you arrive. Please help yourself and look around. Only use what is necessary to ensure your stay is comfortable. Thank you. 20. OFFICE SPACE—You’ll have privacy away from the hustle and bustle of the rest of the cottage. There is a fast internet connection for remote work or streaming, a charging station, a desk lamp, a desk, writing supplies, and plenty of books to entertain yourself for hours. There is also a beautiful skylight that provides natural lighting during the day. 21. THE 4TH BEDROOM SPACE: I am excited to share the newly renovated space! A partial wall separates two beds: a double and a twin bed. There is a beautiful, relaxing sitting area with two comfortable living room chairs. There is plenty of space to enjoy! Some exercise equipment: light weights, an exercise ball, bands, and a yoga mat. A KITCHEN DOOR SEPARATES THE KITCHEN FROM THE BASEMENT. THE STAIRS ARE QUITE STEEP with carpet. Please be careful! Newly renovated space with the 4th bedroom, a nice sitting area, and a utility room. Some exercise equipment. light weights, a yoga mat, and a ball. *PLEASE NOTE: NO BATHROOM DOWNSTAIRS. THE BASEMENT AND THE ENTIRE HOME HAVE CENTRAL HEAT AND AC. FULLY CARPETED, EXCEPT IN THE UTILITY ROOM. BECAUSE THIS IS ON THE LOWEST LEVEL OF THE COTTAGE, SOUND CAN CARRY FROM THE ACTIVITY OF OTHER GUESTS ABOVE. THE LOWEST LEVEL IS A NICE OPTION FOR GUESTS WHO WANT THEIR OWN PRIVATE SPACE. IT CAN BE SLIGHTLY COOLER WHEN THE AC IS RUNNING DURING THE SUMMER MONTHS. PLEASE USE THE EXTRA BLANKETS PROVIDED OR PORTABLE HEATERS. 22. UTILITY ROOM IS IN THE BASEMENT. SEPARATED BY A DOOR. THE UTILITY ROOM IS ON CONCRETE FLOORING. PLEASE LOOK AROUND- REFER TO THE AMENITIES LISTED. -SAUNA TOWELS ARE LOCATED DOWN HERE -KEEP THE SPACE CLEAN FOR OTHER GUESTS -ALWAYS REMOVE EXTRA LINT FROM THE DRYER 23. OUTSIDE: Please know your voices can carry with the Whychus Creek during the late evening hours. Quiet hours are from 10:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. Thank you for being considerate of my neighbors and our community. Please always be respectful of your neighbors and adhere to the Short Term Rental Policy regarding noise violations. An uncovered deck at the front and back of the cottage, with a large fenced yard. The back deck features an umbrella, picnic tables, a patio table, a bistro table, and a bench, providing a comfortable spot to enjoy. There are three steps to access the covered Gazebo: a covered Gazebo, patio furniture, a Webber propane BBQ, and a propane heater. The Gazebo has lights that can be set on a timer. Or turn the timer to “2” or “4," which automatically turns on at dusk. The patio lights will stay on for 2 or 4 hours past dusk, then shut off. SAUNA AND HAMMOCK—The newest addition to the cottage is a WET/DRY SAUNA and a hammock! Please review the sauna guidelines and hammock instructions. Sauna instructions can be found in the welcome binder; a laminated copy will also be located in the sauna and on the outside propane heater. The hammock instructions are in the pocket. Please do not remove the instructions. Please keep the sauna clean for everyone’s enjoyment. During extremely cold winters, exercise caution when using the stream on the lava rocks. Ice can form on the door. Please be careful when shutting it. Please note: Push the reset button if you don’t hear the heater turning on. Found underneath the sauna heat. Just lightly push in. Then, try turning it on again. Should listen to the clunk noises and the heater turning on. WHYCHUS CREEK- "COLD PLUNGE ANYONE”. Whychus Creek is just minutes behind the cottage. PUBLIC ACCESS IS JUST BETWEEN THE TWO EMPTY PROPERTIES. DO NOT LEAVE ANY GARBAGE OR FOOD OUTSIDE. ALWAYS SECURE IN A CLOSED CONTAINER OR COOLER! DO NOT FEED THE WILDLIFE! We have an abundance of wildlife that roam the property. I’ve seen a raccoon a couple of times, as well as an abundance of whitetail deer, wild turkeys, bucks, and various native birds. Raccoons are clever but can be destructive. 24. CHECKING OUT INSTRUCTIONS- CHECK OUT IS 11 AM. 24 A—IF YOU’D LIKE A LATER CHECKOUT, PLEASE GIVE ME A MINIMUM OF 24 HOURS. My cleaning staff is on a tight schedule. If I can, I’ll make every effort to accommodate you. 24 B—PLEASE REMOVE THE USED TOWELS AND LINEN. Please place them in the downstairs utility room or on the floor. 24 C—IF THE SAUNA IS USED, collect all belongings and keep the sauna clean for our next guests. 24 D- IF THE SAUNA WAS USED, PLACE TOWELS FIRST IN THE WASHER. ALL THE LAUNDRY SUPPLIES ARE FOUND IN THE BASEMENT. THIS IS APPRECIATED AND HELPFUL FOR THE CLEANERS TO PREPARE FOR FUTURE GUESTS ARRIVING ON THE SAME DAY. 24 E—START THE DISHWASHER—Please remove food first- The express wash is very efficient. DETERGENT liquid detergent- FOUND UNDER THE KITCHEN SINK. There is no disposal in the dishwasher. 24 F- CLOSE THE LIVING ROOM WOODEN BLINDS. PLEASE BE CAUTIOUS, FRAGILE! 24 G- MAKE SURE THE GAS FIREPLACE IS OFF, AND ANY PROPANE TANKS ARE OFF 24 H- RETURN THE BBQ COVER WHEN COOLED. RETURN CORNHOLE TO COVERED LOCATION WITH 8 BEANIE BAGS SECURED. 24 I- IF YOU USED THE UMBRELLA, GENTLY FOLD IT DOWN ABOVE THE PATIO TABLE AND MAKE SURE IT IS WRAPPED TO STAND. IF REMOVED, PLEASE RETURN THE COVER TO THE LARGER UMBRELLA. AT TIMES, WE CAN GET SOME PRETTY GOOD WINDS THROUGH THE BACKYARD. 24 J- CLOSE ALL WINDOWS AND LOCK ALL DOORS. DON’T FORGET THE SKYLIGHTS UPSTAIRS. 24 K- RETURN THE REMOTE TO THE LIVING ROOM, OTTOM NEAR THE WELCOME BINDER. 24 L- RETURN THE SPARE KEYS TO THE SMALL TABLE NEAR THE COAT RACK 24 M- RETURN THE KEY TO THE BLACK MASTER LOCKBOX. Other things to note A FEW HIGHLIGHTED, MUST-SEE SIGHTS, AND RESTAURANTS. IN NO PARTICULAR ORDER. 1. Wright Observatory-McKenzie Highway- Refer online for hours of operation and road closures. 2. Creek Lake- Take Elm Street for about 45 minutes to 1 hour 3. Tumalo Falls- This is in the Bend area 4. Wizard Falls Fish Hatchery- Camp Sherman and Metolius River 5. Suttle Lake is a must-see. Although it can be a bit windy at times, it offers trails and paddleboarding opportunities. The lodge is beautiful, and live music is played frequently. Refer to the website. 6. Head of the Metolius- Camp Sherman- fly fishing, restaurant, shops, trails for mountain biking, gravel riding, walking, and running.Just gorgeous setting 7. Camp Polk Preserve 8. Creekside Park is adjacent to Whychus Creek across the covered footbridge from Sisters Creekside Campground. The Creek is also 1/2 block from the back of the cottage. Can assess! A minute’s walk from the cottage. Cold plunge, anyone? 9. Drive McKenzie Hwy- road bikers loop 10. Three Sisters 10,358 ft- Faith, Hope, and Charity- Go to the winery too! Just near Terrebonne and Smith Rock- Gorgeous views and live music on some days of the week. 11. Sightseeing, Black Butte- Sleep hike to the top. The elevation gains quite quickly, and it is well worth the views on a clear day! Elevation 6,436 ft 12. Broken Top 9,175 ft 13. Mt. Washington 7,794 ft 14. Three Fingered Jack, 7,841 ft 15. Mt. Jefferson, 10,497 ft 16. Horseback riding 17. Sisters Movie House- very close to the cottage- You can walk or ride your bike- Five Pines Resort, spa, movie theater, brewery, athletic club 18. Village Greens Park- This is blocks from the cottage. Covered Gazebo, multiple picnic tables, restrooms, and a playground area for children. We also host various music and beer festivals throughout the year. This is where one of the large Folk festivals and Jazz venues is set up, as well as the Sisters Quilt Festival, and multiple markets featuring crafts and art. Please review our online listings to find a comprehensive list of events throughout the year. 19. Sisters Skate Park 20. Farm Stand - local plants, hanging baskets. So cute and supports the local economy 21. Sisters Farmers Market- Must enjoy in our summer months. Locals and surrounding areas bring organic produce, crafts, and tastings for everyone to enjoy! Love our market! Restaurants and food places to enjoy: Get out early to eat, like 7 p.m., or there’ll be fewer options, especially after 9 p.m. Again, in no particular order, all listed are 4-star or higher on TripAdvisor. 1. The Open Door—I love this quaint restaurant. Enjoy outside dining under the lights; art is on display! Reservations are needed weeks in advance. The American, contemporary, and wine bar are a must!! 2. Chops Bistro restaurant and lounge HAS NEW OWNERSHIP. NOW CALLED FAMILLE. Also features a cool lounge area that is quite different from the typical ambiance of Sisters. They often have live music on Fridays and weekends. Go early to the lounge to get a seat! She will get back to you as soon as possible. 3. Sister Saloon & Ranch. Bronco Billy’s Ranch Grill and Saloon. Built in 1912- Hearty eating! Excellent food! Opened past 9 p.m. Restaurants close early, so get out and enjoy by 7:30 pm at the latest. 4. Leithanuser General Store ( Sisters Bakery). Awesome building-Built-in 1925 5. Three Creek Brewery- American BrewPub and bar. A minute’s walk from the cottage. About 10 minutes 6. The Cottonwood Cafe- Breakfast- a brief walk from the cottage. Often has lines. Go early! American cafe, vegetarian-friendly 7. Rancho Viejo-Mexican Southwest- Just excellent Mexican cuisine. Local Favorite- My opinion: 5/5 stars! 8. Martolli’s of Sisters- Authentic hand-tossed pizza 9. Takoda’s Restaurant- Family owned- Local Favorite Bar, pizza, pub 10. The Barn, a modern, gorgeous building with outdoor and indoor seating options. Beers, mixed drinks, and Kombucha are available. Excellent burgers are served inside! Very popular with the locals. It’s a nice addition to Sister’s food scene. Multiple food trucks are found here. Excellent wood-fired Chulitas, Coco Loco taco bar, and nice dining inside. It often features live music in the courtyard, complete with outdoor fire pits and solar sunshades to shield against the hot summer months. 11. Food Truck near EuroSports—Sisters Thai—a food truck is a delicious option. It features a fire pit for enjoying the outdoors and often hosts live music. 11. Sno Cone- ice cream, anyone! Excellent burgers, too. Deserts anyone? . 12. Ski Inn Tap House and Hotel- a beautiful building on the main street. Bar pub food, beers on tap. 13. Gallery Restaurant and Bar 14. Sisters Depot 15. Hardtails Bar and Grill- Locals’ favorite pub, pool hall, music, and locals’ favorite after hours. 20. Philadelphia’s Steaks and Hoagies is in a newer building and a new location. Minutes’ walk from the cottage. It features lovely outdoor seating and is conveniently located near the cottage. 21. High Camp Taphouse- a moment's walk from the cottage. Nice outdoor seating to enjoy! 22. McDonald’s is almost the only place to eat after 9:30 p.m.; it’s open until 11 p.m. I know, it’s a little disappointing. 23. Angeline’s Bakery and Cafe—This local favorite is open for Breakfast. I love the outdoor seating, and they often have live music to enjoy. Excellent! Go early; there is usually a line. 24. Rootbound- Food truck at The Barn -Vegetarian opinions- excellent, healthy! 25. Cottonwood Cafe- Local favorite- Open for Breakfast. Moments’ walk from the cottage. Go early, and it often has a line. 26. Sisters Coffee Company- a local favorite for coffee, pastries, and breakfast food! AWESOME Hoodoo Burrito! Highly recommended by me! The owners have been kind enough to help stock my pantry with some delicious grilling spices. The farm-raised meat section is a must-try for meat lovers. Amazing sandwiches to enjoy. Minimal indoor seating, plenty of outdoor spots to enjoy.
