Welcome to Penny Creek. A simple cabin just south of Durham. A private location surrounded by ponds, streams and forest - yet close to many day adventures should you want to explore beyond the property. Nearby amenities include restaurants, grocery, lcbo, fuel, coffee and shopping . An open concept space that offers one queen bed and a pull out sofa. Full kitchen and bath. Picnic tables, Fire pit and bbq. Excellent hiking trails nearby. Easy access to ofsc (snowmobile) trails! The space We are located just south of Durham in Grey County. Open concept space. The full bathroom is separate and private. Well equipped kitchen. An outdoor area with picnic table, bbq, fire pit and plenty of space for games. There is a cornhole game set on site for your use. Firewood for the pond side fire pit is provided. (within reason) There is a propane fireplace with excellent ambiance inside the cabin. (Turned off during summer months) Imagine a camp site with the nearby conveniences of home ! There are two cabins that are side by side, the second one will be kept vacant for your reservation to ensure privacy. If you are in need of larger accommodations please see our other listing and consider booking both cabins ! (Ideal for up to 6 guests) This is a 50 + year old structure that we have been renovating and we do not offer hotel services (please wash your own dishes and respect our cabin / we use it ourselves) We love animals and accept guests with pets, that said please keep them on leash and clean and off of the furniture. Disclosure : We do our best to keep the space clean and tidy between guests but occasionally may miss something ( a hair / a pine needle, etc ) that said please do not expect everything to be perfect. There are hotels within a 45 minute drive that may be more suitable for you if our rustic cabin in the woods is not. Guest access Besides the cabin, there are a couple different green spaces and a small trail through the woods for enjoying the outdoors. Winter activities like hiking, snow showing, skating, skiing, ice fishing and snowmobiling can all be found at parks or venues nearby.
