Ojai Creek House - private canyon 2 miles to town

Your own oasis in the midst of 400 acres ON the San Antonio Creek, surrounded by hills and nature. Enjoy a private entrance to your comfortable quarters loaded w/all amenities and private patio overlooking one of Ojai's most beautiful views. And it's all just 5 minutes from downtown! Home to many birds and animals; red-legged frogs may lull you to sleep. Come relax & decompress! The space The unit is well-appointed with a step down dining area and full kitchen An adjacent sitting area leads to your own private patio overlooking the creek. We enjoy Spectrum's top-of-the-line wifi. Watch most of the streaming services (Netflix, Prime, Hulu, Disney, Apple TV) on a 65" smart TV, as well as many premium and basic cable channels. Also enjoy plenty of books & games. Enjoy a walk on our property or bring some water shoes and walk/hike the hundreds of acres right across the Creek. You also might want to bring water shoes for a walk up the Creek (we have a collection of water shoes but can't guarantee your size). The bedroom has a large closet and one queen bed. An additional full sized sofa bed is also available. Your full bathroom is en-suite, with a bathtub and shower, stocked with soap, shampoo, hair dryer and plenty of towels. Coffee, tea, drinking water, snacks and basic spices for cooking are provided and we can also stock the kitchen with your groceries prior to your arrival with proper notice. Our "Riverwalk" has a fire pit, BBQ and seating for al-fresco dining. There is also a hammock by the Creek to read or sleep in. Also on the Creek bank are swings for children and children at heart. Guest access There is free parking on the premises. Self check-in is available if we can’t greet and show you around in person. Just please let us know your ETA and we’ll take things from there. We are just 2.4 miles from downtown Ojai. That's a five minute drive or 45 minute walk (tho we don't recommend the walk on busy Creek Road). Taxis and Ubers are few and far between but we may be able to arrange for drop-off and pick-up so you can enjoy wine tasting and other activities while in town. Other things to note This space comfortably accommodates two people but we will welcome a third person for an additional fee and children and infants at no additional charge. We allow 2 pets for an additional pet fee and a third pet on a case-by-case basis. We have a pull out sofa but please let us know if that needs to be set up for you. We are honored to be stewards of a wide variety of flora and fauna in their natural habitat here. On a good day, you will see critters of all kinds; cows, deer, ducks, herons, owls, hummingbirds and red finches, even the occasional bear, bobcat and coyote. Bees, mice and snakes are also natural residents in this part of California. If you do come across one, please be aware that they are more afraid of you than the other way around, so keep your distance if at all possible, and enjoy them from afar. Wear closed-toe shoes when walking around the Creek and surrounding land. Please know that our water takes a while to heat-up (but it’s ok to run it for a bit longer than you're used to--as we're supplied by a natural artesian well).
