There are paintings and memorabilia of local Confederate war heroes connected with our property and the local area such as John Mosby and Turner Ashby. Please read rules and d disclosures about the property. Civil War and Confederate artifacts may be found offensive by some. MBR is a queen-size bed and the other room has a full-size bed. *****Please note. There are no safe flushable wipes or feminine products, regardless of what the packaging says. Please, please spare our septic system of costly repairs. At least 10 other wineries in the area. Convenient to Marshall & Warrenton. NOTE: Moreland Farm dates back to 1835 and has connections to both local Southern legends John Mosby & Turner Ashby. There is memorabilia throughout the house citing local Civil War history and these two local Confederate heroes. See photos for more information. Those offended by such Civil War items might not be comfortable in this home. There is also a lithograph of the White House that one person has found problematic since it was signed by a former president she evidently didn’t like. The home is quite the showplace of historical pieces throughout, so probably not suitable for small children. Rugs cover some of the hardwood floors so those with mobility issues may have difficulty. Honestly, if you are this easily offended and you find such trivial items problematic, please find another venue. ***We WILL, at times, make exceptions to allow four adults but the second room is a FULL MATTRESS and larger folks, like myself, might not be comfortable.***** *****INFANTS and ALL CHILDREN count toward the three person limit***** Check our guidebook for lots of fun ideas for recreation, restaurants, and local activities.
