The neighbourhood - Galata, Tunel, Beyoglu - is lively and vibrant with great restaurants, jazz cafes, bars, dance clubs, and of course amazing culinary experiences. Traditional craftsmen boutiques and cool artists' galleries are all around the square. This is also an ancient Jewish neighbourhood, with beautiful synagogues to visit. Within a few minutes' walk is a tram that will take you straight to the Blue Mosque, Tophane and other major sights. Metro station Sishane is 2 min walk so you can reach any point in the city. The best thing to do is to discover the city on foot and let yourself get lost in the labyrinth of narrow paved streets by the Golden Horn. You will very comfortable in this stylish and safe neighbourhood with its authentic yet cosmopolitan feel. Please note that in order to enjoy this cool apartment and its gorgeous views of the sea and of the entire Galata square, you're required to do a bit of exercise - go up to the 5th floor without an elevator.
