Scandinavian Comfort: Bright Apartments in the Heart of Riga It is decorated in Scandinavian style with stylish blue, grey and yellow colors. The apartment consists of one bedroom with a king-size bed (180x200 см), a bunk-bed for 2 children (80х190 см each up to 80 kg) - only kids are allowed to sleep there, wardrobe, designer chest drawer, two bedside tables, internet TV + TV stand, and a large window facing the Independence Park (Jekaba square). A separate living room has a fully-equipped open plan kitchen, a dining area, sitting area with a sliding sofa-bed (140х200), Internet TV and TV stand, large build-in wardrobe, work chair and station, a window facing the back yard. Free Wi-Fi. Please note in times of power cuts, the internet may fail. Bathroom has a sink with a cupboard, lighted mirror, toilet, shower (towels and shampoo provided), washing machine (comes with several capsules for washing, but if you need more you need to buy in the nearby store) and shelves for storage. Guest access There are a few options how to get to my apartments from the airport: BY TAXI The taxi trip to the city center normally takes 15-20 min., price is apx. EUR 20-25 with no additional services, depending on the traffic no matter how many (4) in the taxi. There are currently three different taxi companies licensed to service Riga International Airport, RIX: Baltic Taxi, Red Cab and Taxi Lv. Other taxi carries are available for pre-booking using mobile applications. The most common is BOLT. BY BUS #22 It's only convenient if you have time and don't have much luggage with you. You have to take 12 stops (exit 11.novembra krastmala) and after walk about 15 minutes. BY CAR A short-term car park for people with special needs is located opposite the departure terminal’s check-in hall and is marked with a special sign. There are also two paid car parks P1 (short-term) and P3 (long-term) available for PRM passengers. These car parks are equipped with special parking spaces for persons with special needs. *** THE AREA is safe. My building is protected by police as it is next to the Latvian Seima. Therefore, no stops or parking are allowed on Jekaba street. Please see a map where you can drop off quickly your stuff. PARKING: * 15 euros per day in the Kazarma Arkade/Garage (2 min walk) * 11 euros per day on Muitas Iela/Street (across the street 5 min walk) * Galleria Riga Shopping Centre (10 minutes walk) - check the price on their website Non-cash parking meters are used in Riga streets to pay for parking services. They enable users of parking lots to effect fast, comfortable and safe payments with a bank card, a personalised e-ticket or a Riga resident’s card. When using a parking meter or the SMS-payment service to pay for the use of a paid parking lot, parking lot users shall register precisely the state registration number of the vehicle and effect a prepayment for all the expected time of using the paid parking lot.
