We've hired a professional property manager to deliver a clean and well-stocked home for your holiday, family visit or business travel. We live just outside of Washington, DC in a delightful Midcentury Modern home in desirable Bethesda, MD, just steps to restaurants, retail and transit. We've supplied everything, including child-proofing, for 6 adults plus kids to spread out and relax. For business travelers, the office includes wifi and a printer. Did we mention the pool? The space We are family-friendly! Raising our own toddler, we've left guests with young children the option to make use of our child-proofing supplies and our booster seat/high chair. Feel free to install our gates at the one flight of stairs in our home and the cabinet locks we've left you in the kitchen. There's even a diaper genie and a generous supply of refills. No young kids, or no kids at all? No problem, leave the stored child-proofing supplies where they are and enjoy our home your way. Our house was built in 1958 and recently renovated to create a bright, airy space you’ll look forward to coming home to. Floor-to-ceiling windows combine with strategically-placed skylights to bring soft natural light indoors. The dining table seats eight. Off the main living area are three upper-level bedrooms that comfortably sleep two adults each, a guest bathroom and a treat—a brand-new en suite master bathroom with a custom shower and Toto bidet toilet. The lower level features a wall-mounted television in the family room, an extensive collection of toys, plus books and novels including kid's and teen's books, and FiOS cable TV plus a Roku set up to stream Netflix and Disney+. The home office is equipped with a printer and fast 300Mbps FiOS wifi. The fourth bedroom with queen bed is downstairs along with another guest bathroom and a very large sectional sofa that could easily sleep two children. There is also a laundry room and an exercise treadmill. Last but not least, our private, heated pool is available on or about Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day weekend (end of May to early September). PLEASE NOTE: All guests age 18 and over must sign a swimming pool liability release prior to obtaining their entry code. The release form must be signed even during the off-season when the pool is covered. We have installed all safety features mandated by local building codes. Guest access The home is easily accessible from either the Beltway or Interstate 270. Guests can use the entire house, as well as the pool when in season. The rear deck furniture will be covered in winter and opened and available for guests' use in the spring through the fall. Guests may use the gas grill during the winter months. Please note we are storing one car in our driveway now, but the driveway can still accommodate 1-2 cars and there is plenty of free, on-street parking right in front of the house. Other things to note Our home comes with a swimming pool that is open during the summer months and we have installed all safety features mandated by local building codes. The Wildwood shopping center is one block from the home with restaurants, a bakery, a bagel shop, a gourmet market, coffee shop, high-end boutiques and a CVS. One block farther is a Giant supermarket, more restaurants and coffee shops and a liquor store, as well as banks, a dry cleaner, a gym, and more retail. Several parks with playgrounds and hiking are 2-10 minutes by car. Two bus lines run near the home as well as the Red Line Metro, which will take you into DC in about 10 minutes.
