Description
Our place is centrally located within Tryphena, easy walking distance to the Stonewall Store, weekly Village Market, Pa Beach Café, famous Irish Currach Pub, a boat ramp and safe swimming beaches. You will feel welcome in this open plan, split-level home with surrounding decks facing a view of bush and sea. In the house there is plenty of entertainment for the whole family when you want to come back inside. The space With the surrounding greenery mostly screening out the neighbouring dwellings, the house is surprisingly centrally located. And on the island, Tryphena has perhaps most to offer in one locality, and that is not only scenic walks, historic sites and water sports opportunities, but also for entertainment and even shopping - we actually have two shops in the bay, or three counting the post shop. Just a few hundred meters down the road gets you to the shops, the weekly Village Market, Pah Beach Café, and even an authentic Irish Currach Pub. Within a 5 minute walk you can get to a boat ramp and two safe swimming beaches - Gooseberry Flats and Pah Beach. A little further still on foot, or just 5 minutes by car, gets you to Mulberry Grove store one way and Tipi and Bobs Waterfront Lodge the other, both offer cooked food and have a license to serve alcohol. Then there is the Tryphena Social Club also in walking distance, which turns into a cinema on Monday and Thursday nights showing an eclectic selection of recent releases. Do pick up one of the free guides at the airport, or search online, about all the organised and independent activities on the island. There is so much to recommend. The home itself is spacious with large windows in the lounge area and the master bedroom facing a view of bush and sea. There are numerous corners around the deck, in the front and in the back to enjoy good company or have a moment of repose by yourself. Do enjoy these spaces by picking out one of the 100s of books which are dotted on shelving throughout the house, all while listening to the kaka, tui and kereru in the native trees surrounding the house. Come meal time, you will find the kitchen well equipped with a microwave and bench top electric stove, as well as a large fridge/freezer, bread maker. There is also a gas stove and oven when there is insufficient battery charge for electric appliances. Also available for your use are free Wifi, a large-screen smart TV, a DVD player, and a stereo radio with CD player. We have made a lot of effort to make this a welcoming home - for our guests as much as for ourselves - and from the posted reviews it appears that that has succeeded. We would love to share this amazing island with you also. Guest access All inside and outside living spaces are available to you, i.e. the entire house. Other things to note The master bedroom contains one queen bed in a large room with external access via a sliding door to a small deck area, leading to the front deck. There is shelving free to allow you to unpack your bags. Another bedroom is adjacent to the master bedroom. The third bedroom is on the other side of the bathroom and has another single bed. It is larger and has a writing desk along with some bookshelves. Linen and towels are provided by us. Another bedroom is used to store all our personal belonging out of your way.
