Time to unwind and enjoy the countryside! Head to Goulburn explore the district whilst staying in our unique & private freestanding cottage 'The Stables' located within the Pelican Homestead. This fully self contained adjoining 2 bedroom cosy cottage is a home away from home. Located 10 minutes from Goulburn, 2 hrs from Sydney, 50 minutes from Canberra & 2 minutes to Wakefield Motor Racing Park. We provide a generous complimentary continental breakfast for the first morning. Strictly NO pets. This early 1850's stone building was ex-convict built is steeped in character and charm. The Stables is part of the original Pelican Inn which was the first stop for the Cobb & Co Coaches heading South out of Goulburn. Not many people can say they have stayed in a building over 168 years old in Australia. Step inside the open plan lounge, dining and kitchen area and through to the combined bathroom (with shower over bath) and laundry. Upstairs in the loft area is the main bedroom with a comfortable queen bed. In the adjoining 2nd bedroom is 2 comfortable single beds and a closet style toilet. Enjoy the private outdoor area including a BBQ. Guest access Fully covered carport is attached to the cottage to house your vehicle or motorbike. There is plenty of allocated parking if you have a trailer, a larger vehicle or multiple vehicles. Our driveways are well maintained and access is a matter of following the 'Stables' signs. Security lock box holds the key. Other things to note We live in an agricultural area with livestock and cropping which makes for some beautiful scenery both when it is at its best and its worst depending on the season.
