Description

Recently renovated 1830s brick farmhouse perfect for cozy Adirondack escapes. Our house is situated in the Champlain Valley between the Adirondack Mountains and Lake Champlain. You will be close to hiking, swimming, skiing, and plenty of local food grown and raised right in the Valley. Lake Placid and Burlington are about 40-60 minutes away and there is is plenty to do in our little town. However, you might prefer to just put your feet up by the fire and enjoy the mountain views. The space The house was built in the 1830s and is filled with plenty of rustic charm, but also features modern comforts like a fully stocked kitchen, new beds with Keetsa mattresses, and a gas fireplace. Four bedrooms and a full bath upstairs. Separate living and dining rooms, plus full kitchen, office, and half-bath on main floor. Laundry is available in the basement. This house was once owned by my husband's great-grandparents, and we are so happy to have brought it back into our family — the Kellys have been in Essex since the 1800s. This is OUR home, not just a rental, and we have furnished it with antiques and other sentimental items. Please treat the house as if it was your own, and take care to leave things as you found them.
