The Harbour Retreat is a bright and spacious 5 bedroom house and perfect for hosting a family get together near the coast! It is extremely versatile and has a wonderful kitchen dining room that adjoins to the main lounge, with patio doors that step down onto the large elevated decking area. The garden is a delight with a hot tub and sauna, sunbeds and parasols so guests can really relax. The 5 bedrooms are substantial in size and make wonderful family suites. A gem of a property in every way! The space This delightful property provides an incredible setting for your family stay! It offers a versatile space, which is capable of accommodating a large family group. It has four very sizeable bedrooms upstairs and the option to set up one of the downstairs reception rooms as a bedroom. The fifth bedroom is set up as a bunk bed room. As soon as you enter the property you immediately appreciate the spacious and light rooms throughout. The entrance hallway leads to the modern luxury kitchen with an island housing the induction hob, perfect for sociable cooking with your family. We love the deluxe coffee machine for brewing your favourite coffee to enjoy on the decking. When it comes to dining inside, you will be comfortable seating a maximum of twelve around the solid oak table. Alfresco dining is positively encouraged to take in the sun and sea breezes. Connecting to the kitchen is the utility room which also houses the downstairs shower. Flowing from the kitchen into a sunny lounge area with a smart TV, you can light the fire and snuggle up on the sofas or leave the patio doors open to take in the evening air. There’s a stylish cloakroom downstairs and also a second lounge with sofas, a wall mounted TV and patio doors opening out onto the decking. If your group needs additional sleeping arrangements, this room is where they will be hosted on a comfortable double sofa bed. On the first floor, there are five bedrooms. The generous master bedroom has beautiful views towards the harbour and the Purbeck Hills, a super king size bed and an en-suite bathroom with a bath and separate shower. The fifth bedroom is accessible from the master bedroom and is set up for children to sleep in bunk beds. The second bedroom has ample space with a super king size bed, there is a large wardrobe and a snug armchair to take in the harbour views. The third bedroom offers a double bed and plenty of hanging space. The fourth bedroom is set up with zip and link beds which can be used as two singles or a king size bed and this room also benefits from ample wardrobe space. There is a modern family bathroom on this floor, which offers a walk-in shower, a double sink and a bath. The south-west facing garden is both generous and private, with different levels suitable for games, relaxation or entertaining. The wraparound decking, with a glass balcony protection above the main garden, has a large outdoor dining table and chairs capable of seating eight guests, offering space for a family gathering any time of the day. The extended terrace provides an area where you can relax on loungers with an ice-cold drink and soak up the sun, right next to the sunken hot tub with a lockable lid. There is some additional seating in this area, to catch the last of the evening sun. Steps down to the second level lead to a bistro table where you can enjoy a morning coffee, and a four-person sauna to help you de-stress and relax. Further steps lead down to the bottom lawn. There is a children's trampoline on the lower lawn and there are plenty of indoor and outdoor toys and games to keep children of all ages entertained. Around the side of the property is a dog kennel and pen suitable for a medium sized dog. Guest access Access to the house is provided by personalised check-in by arrangement at a convenient time. The host, Harbour Escapes, will be on hand before, during and after guests' stays to provide support and quickly respond to guest requests. Other things to note Property can sleep a maximum of 10 adults and 2 children. Additional children’s beds or cots can also be added into any of the bedrooms. Experiences for every occasion. Dog Friendly Fret not, you won’t need to send your four-legged friend to the kennels or rely on a kind neighbour to look after your pooch while you’re away. When you enquire or book with us, please let us know that you intend to bring your dog, so that we can get everything in order for you. We can also suggest dog walks, let you know which beaches allow dogs and recommend dog-friendly day trips. Top tip: if you want to take Fido to the beach, head to Sandbanks in Poole, where there’s a dog wash. Woof! Please note we charge an additional £95 per dog.
